Clinton not sure Sanders is a Democrat

Bernie is an Independent from Vermont. This is how he's always introduced. He is running as a Democrat because it's the only way he could've picked up momentum in our two party system.

S.  I also feel the same way about Bernie that you feel about Hillary right about now.  His supporters make you want to go out & get hit by a semi-truck, but despite that tho.  I will still vote for him if he gets the nomination, because I know all too well what will happen if a Republican gets in office!  

Evolving is not nearly the same as flip flopping to pander. At least Bernie sticks to his guns (pun not intended) while Hillary will blast Bernie for his stance on guns but in districts where voters were more in favor of Gun support she ran almost 0 ads about sanders and his gun policies...

Lol I feel the same. I wish more politicians cared about the actual issues and not a damn party. 

I hate how some people get so caught up on voting for a certain party and forget to actually think about what's happening.

I see people saying "Vote Blue!" "Vote Republican" 

Like stfu. I will vote for whoever I agree with more. I'm open to any candidate who aligns with my views. No party is perfect.

Moreover he's been right about things like supporting MLK (Hillary supported politicians who were anti segregation) and not going into Iraq unlike Hilary yet again. I want a man who has that gut instinct that has proven time again that he has been on the right side of history

Doesn't help much tho when it comes to other democrats being elected into office nationwide.  I mean he is not even trying to help other democrats get elected, and I mean why should he when he is only one himself for CONVENIENCE...

All I can say is....I hope Trump gets the nomination. That first debate against Hillary will make political history.

He voted alongside most democratic votes while he was in senate and moreover he has said before at the debates (that I don't think you watched) that any democratic candidate would be better than a republican president. I'd rather him find the best politicians for whatever job he can, not the best democratic politician he can find. Sometimes democrats are wrong, you'll get over it or better yet you'll get used to it

1. "I am not now, nor have I ever been, a Democrat"

2. "I am not a Democrat, period"

3. "You don't change the system from inside the Democratic Party"

4. "Why should we work within the Democratic Party, if we don't agree with anything the party says" 

5.  "It would be hypocritical of me to run as a Democrat" 

6. "I am running as a Democrat. Obviously, I am a Democrat now" 

There are plenty more quotes out there and stories of him despising the Democratic Party. He wasn't above it all...talking about the "issues only". 

 

People ARE paying attention to what is happening! That's why people who understand what could happen with a Republican president (who will appoint extremely conservative Justices) are going to be party voters. But go ahead and ignore the parties, just don't blame others when you watch your rights slowly fade away.

And we don't know if he believes all of that now. Post the dates of when he said those things. Should we blast Hillary for everything she's said in the past? I don't think so. But you could argue he isn't being hypocritical as he's not helping the Dems. out.

He's like every other politician, he lies, he flip-flops, he uses what he needs to use to get where he wants to go. Bernie isn't a saint, he's just like the rest of politicians. 

I'm an Independent myself, especially in local races. I've found over the years, that it is next to impossible for me to consider a Republican in a higher office (especially for the presidency), due to the social issues and core values that the GOP embraces and demands from their candidates. If the Republican Party would shift away from their mission of denying equal rights to minorities and allow for moderates, I could reevaluate my position. 

Are you a straight, white male who isn't concerned about the rights of those who aren't? If so, then you don't have to worry about any rights being taken away.

He is not and will never be comparable to Hillary's flip flopping. But it's ok. Both of us have already voted in the primaries (I think), I respect we all have the right to choose what candidate to support.

And no, none of my rights are at stake. But I'm still concerned for other's rights. But the fear tactics don't work on me.
