That's terribly, terribly dangerous and irresponsible to think that way, and implies that you didn't realize that contributing to the numbers now might not prove fruitful immediately, but certainly will later on, when we have more opportunity to add to those numbers! I was not inferring that AT ALL. I was actually referring to the pathetic Democratic voter turn out compared to the Republicans during the primaries so far. She was raised by a conservative family, but changed over to the anti-war and civil rights movements in the late sixties and became a Democrat as a young adult. Bernie has been a Democrat all of ten months. Clinton has been a die-hard Democrat for fifty years now. "Die hard democrat" is subjective here. Her track record as a democratic senator until her role as secretary of state hasn't been progressive: wrong judgment call on the Iraq war, homophobic stance on lgbt rights until late 2013, and her disastrous support for NAFTA and TPP has lead to the rust belt in America. And don't get me starting on her disturbing support of "Fracking." Bernie has aligned himself with democrats, and Hillary herself has acknowledge his progressive agenda towards healthcare during the late 90s. Both are Democrats in a Democratic primary. It's desperate to throw out weak attacks. People are capable of doing research on their own, so inviting voters to inspect both Democartic candidates is an opportunity for voters themselves to see how inconsistent she's been throughout her career as a politician. What is this argument? Democrats come in all shapes and sizes. They aren't a homogeneous bunch. The point is that she has been a democrat working for the Democratic Party for the last few decades. Bernie associated some of his positions with Democrats but he hasn't actually helped the party. That's what is being discussed here. Aligning is not the same as actually being part of it. You can be a Republican and align with many democratic views. It doesn't mean you helped the democrats succeed. This isn't a weak attack. It's the hard truth. O and Jesus get your facts straight. Hillary has never been homophobic. Being pro civil unions as opposed to marriage equality is not a homophobic stance. You quote all these random things Hillary has done, as if that proves your point. What has Sanders done? That's right. Nothing. Edited just now by LebaneseDude.

Hillary being a Democrat is in no way subjective. She is as progressive as Obama. Are you going to say he isn't a Democrat? All of the issues you listed were stances that the Democratic Party was taking at the time. She has been in line with the Democratic party for decades. Bernie has been a Democrat for ten months. He is running as a Democrat, but he hasn't been one until he used the party affiliation to benefit him the last ten months. This isn't a weak attack, it is simply stating a fact. Ladle Ghoulash 55,282
It's hilarious to me that people think this criticism even matters. The worst thing about the current state of political affairs is PARTISAN POLITICS. No, Bernie is not part of either of the mob mentalities and THAT'S PART OF WHAT MAKES HIM A GOOD CANDIDATE. The two major political parties in this country have been creating absurd amounts of tension between the American population over the last couple of decades and it needs to end. We need to deviate from this rigged system (where both parties are funded by, essentially, the same corporations) and move toward a more grassroots system. The division created by the party systems and the elitism within the party systems only benefit the party's establishments (aka Hillary Clinton and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz). So, if by saying that Bernie isn't a 'democrat', you're saying that he's isn't a corporate hack who says one thing and does another, then I'm all for Bernie not being a democrat. What an ignorant statement. There is always going to be partisanship in democracy. That's the only way it can function. How else would like minded people form groups to discuss shared interests? How else would there be debates and positions? Establishment this. Establishment that. Don't diss the establishment when you are using it. This is the height of hypocrisy. The fact that there is tension is not the result of politics but of increasingly divergent stances. Are you implying that Bernie's stances are not divergent either? How idiotic. He's literally the same as Hillary except on economy, and his plans are nothing but a dream. The only reason Bernies exist is because Hillarys exist. He's the loud mouth that talks about pipe dreams while the actual politicians do the real work to represent the people. And yea, sometimes politicians **** up too. At least she's doing something. Bernie hasn't done anything of value to the American people. It's funny how it takes a non-American to point out these things. Edited just now by LebaneseDude. At some point, you have to understand that if you are spending most of your defending your candidate's record, then maybe it's the candidate who is the problem. This exchange will be forgotten in a day. And I also acknowledge that you are a Clinton supporter. I respect that. But I can't comprehend how her supporters spend most of their time defend her policies, and at the end of the day, they expect people to conform to her. She is not the Supreme Democrat, and I'm insulted when people throw away their standards simply because they are too stubborn to listen.

Nothing progressive about that. Don't get sucked into the mob mentality of partisan politics. It's smoke and mirrors. It's funny how you use marriage equality to talk about Hillary then a completely different topic to talk about Sanders. Both Hillary and Sanders were against LGBT marriage until recently. The only reason Sanders voted against some legislation was because he thought it should be left to the states (in his hilariously one-track socialist mind) as opposed to it being out of empathy for LGBT people. Hillary delivered an important speech to the UN about LGBT rights. Has Bernie done anything of relevance in that regard? Her stances on foreign policy are hardly unique to her and her alone. Attempting to inject logic into a discussion about Middle Eastern politics is a lesson in failure. It doesn't exist. I should know. I'm from there. Trying to make the fact that "overthrowing Assaad" is an inherently bad thing is also ****ing stupid. You talk about Middle Eastern politics as if you've lived it. Divisions between Sunni and Shiite people have existed far longer than we have. Considering Lebanon is the "Western allies", your entire stance about this is hilariously subjective. Are you seriously implying such decisions are BAD? Bahahahaha Edited just now by LebaneseDude.
