To me I don't find Rihanna's new era or fase to be big or popular, I think it's the worst work she's done and her album has fallen low down the charts and I don't think work is particularly a good song! I prefer her older stuff, that's just my view lol

The fact of the matter is is that there are too many possibilities and trajectories. Too many variables: how good the song is, promo, what else is in the charts etc.

Yet Gaga has mastered the art of surprise.

People used to think they knew what to expect with Gaga. But after the Super Bowl, the Oscars, the Golden Globes the GP is now reassessing what they used to think they knew about her.

They're also so damn tired of the current lame ass pop charts, and want to be blown away by something spectacular, vaguely familiar yet brand new, and life reaffirming.

The time has never been more ready for Gaga.

You've got a point but I think this is Gaga's weakness. She's more of a sales artist as opposed to streaming artist. Her singles usually sell just as well or even better than her rivals' but her streaming is weaker than her rivals', which is why given two singles which sell as much as each other, Gaga would be disadvantaged in that her streaming pulls her down.

Just because you don't like her new music doesn't mean it's not successful. Anti and Work are doing so well right now you can't deny it.

I'm not saying that but here in the uk it's no.14 for the single, it went high for a few weeks but dropped, the album is no.40, just saying
