Intelligence isn't always about I.Q. Some would say emotional intelligence is even more important, which she has huge amounts of. More than most people I've seen.

IQ is a pretty faulty concept anyhow. We know more now about the nature of the beast than we did when we adopted IQ as a thing.

I took an IQ test in elementary school and the lady testing me kept going until she got tired and sent me back to class... I apparently had an IQ of over 140 but she didn't know the exact number because she gave up

Ditto!  Ever since geometry was introduced to us in grade school, my math skills have been atrocious ever since then...  Smh

I kind of think IQ is overrated in some instances. And it usually seems that people who rank as geniuses are the most socially awkward. Or are at least portrayed that way in the immediately.

I kind of hate when people make a big deal out of these things. We're little monsters, we'd be praising her if she has a normal IQ.

Gaga is intelligent without a doubt but so are a lot of people. Madonna and Mariah Carey are a lot smarter than Gaga. People may be shocked about how smart Mariah actually is.

I don't think that Madonna is INCREDIBLY smart either though.But she is smart.. I think that Gaga is smarter than her in a lot of things but Gaga is a bit naive (not in a really bad way) when Madonna on the other hand has that overly confident personality that makes her look smarter than what she actually is  I don't know about Mariah though.Haven't seen enough interviews.

IQ is not a valid measure of intelligence because your answers may be skewed by your culture or life experiences, and they also do not take into account all forms of intelligence. On that note, I do think that Gaga is highly intelligent, and that shows in her academic performance as well as her manner of speaking, her numerous abilities, her ease in mastering new tasks, and her strong interpersonal skills.

I've watched a lot of Madonna interviews and I can honestly say her experiences actually make her extra confident. It comes off as genuine. When I watch and listen to Gaga interviews I cant imagine that she read a thesaurus before the interview and it comes off as too contrived. Gaga is a smart girl but her intelligence doesn't exactly impress me as her academic skills aren't exactly the best. It's not hard to find someone as smart as Gaga in the street. She knows a lot about art so I give her props but she is a bit naive. Mariah is very smart. She excels in many fields. The fact that she knows many sub categories of different species and she doesn't need to  I will never forget a long time ago when she corrected a guy that assumed octopus were fish and she corrected cephlapods arent fish  Most importantly Mariah is musically talented and that woman can read music without any sheets which is why shes always been the co producer. She doesn't play any instruments that much but she has experience in piano and guitar, and although she doesn't excel in those skills, she knows the keys well and even professional pianists and guitarists in training have read her key note journal in music as inspiration.

I've spent over 20 hours watching Madonna's interviews.And this is what I get. She is absolutely real but it's her extra confidence that make her look smart tbh.But I like her because she ACTUALLY thinks out of the box,and I don't see that in Gaga.

Knowing a lot of stuff doesn't make you really smart. I am not saying that Mariah is not smart but the fact that she has a wide knowledge doesn't make her smart

I know knowing a lot doesn't make you as smart but it is no surprise to people that Mariah is one of the smartest people in the music industry except to people on pop forums. People call her a musical genius because of how involved she is in all of her work and she can become a producer if she wants too because she knows each Faq, key, compressors, frequencies etc from professional studios like The Plant in Hollywood. Gaga's musical knowledge is actually quite mild compare to Mariah's musical knowledge. Gaga is involved in SOME aspects of her music which is still impressive for a pop star. It's not a competition of course but I agree with you that Gaga is just a casual smart person.

Well Mariah is definitely musically smart but really my opinion is that musically Gaga is the smartest person in the industry  Because she can also produce,write great melodies and lyrics but her music is always INTERESTING and unique.. Mariah always had good music but never really unique. But yeah she is definitely talented too

Ehh Gaga is multi talented in that way but she doesn't excel in all of those fields. Not the best songwriter, some of her melodies are rubbish, but she does have potential to become excellent. She's still in her rookie phase musically. I definitely do think her music was more unique from 2008 - 2011 but ARTPOP to me kind of felt like normal pop productions with lyrics from a tumblr blogger. I'm not trying to bash Gaga but musically she hasn't impressed me on a top notch level but at the same time she's my favorite pop artist. It's all subjective I guess.
