giskardsb 12,565
If you have a hard time thinking of Gaga as a true pop-rock star, just look back to this performance. This is a prototype performance of Gaga in a rock mode but still being very Gaga and still having the theatricality and choreo and all that stuff that people love about pure pop performances. Marry the night was a full on rock song in the style of Jim Steinman/Meatloaf; the only thing that kept it more "pop" on the album was the lack of guitar and the drums, which she rectified in the live performances. She was made for this type of stuff.
Pharamon 6,839
My favorite Gaga outfit and performance - this was so amazing...And now I feel refreshed after watching it once more!
kvnrp 48,353
I guess the whole Born This Way album was more of a RockGa prototype. I really hope to see some heavier rock influences in LG5, as she's pretty much the only artist today to pull a persona like this off (maybe Kesha as well but we know what happend to that )
