They forgot that he educated their kids, gave them health care and totally transformed their society.” giving up sodomy and moving to 🇦🇪 converting to ☪ and marrying four girls

SychosSoChic 9,995
If people didn't suck and weren't corruptible and communism didn't have such a plague history, totally. I'd be full on Red Book stan. But it's proven that it doesn't work. People do suck. People are corruptible. And Communism does a history of being amazing in the beginning and ending in disappointment and destruction. Like s3x. Life ain't Hollywood for any one of us. politicqxs 358
If technology is advanced enough, like growing a carrot only takes five minutes, a plastic surgery that transforms you into a model only takes half a day, neurons can be modified so everyone is smart enough, cancer and Aids can be cured easily etc; Those kinds of things.. Then social gap will largely diminish; humans are to reach a post-scarcity near-communist capitalist society. Only we have to pray some crazy scientist will not invent some virus that wipes off the entire human race off the planet. giving up sodomy and moving to 🇦🇪 converting to ☪ and marrying four girls
Sudarshana 581
I never did, it's just as bad as nazism. Nous sommes tous obligés, pour rendre la réalité supportable, d'entretenir en nous quelques petites folies. — Marcel Proust
Iwontell 7,312
Nope...when it comes to these political systems, all we have to go by is historical experience and so far communism has been nothing but a compelling pretext to impose one's power over the ppl. Just look how every so-called communist country ended up being a dictatorship with ppl living in awful conditions...however pure capitalism is just a different way of producing the same result: power in the hands of a very small group and ppl in general suffering and being oppressed... The difference is only the excuse, bc in communism they'll tell you "well, you're being treated like ****, but at least everyone here is the same..." (and that's not true, cuz ppl linked to "the party", specially in the highest ranks, live like kings and hold all the power in their hands), while in pure capitalism they'll tell you "well, you're being treated like ****, but at least you're free to start a business and become rich and part of the dominant group..." (and that's also not true, just look in your personal lives how many ppl have become truly, truly rich? I mean RICH! Like billionaires...cuz these are the ppl that hold the power)... A capitalist economy where the government takes action to counteract the grave distortions pure capitalism creates, that's what works...that's the best "deal" humanity has ever come up with and countries that comprehend that (namely Scandinavian countries) are able to provide better living conditions to their citizens and promote/defend their dignity (which is the ultimate goal of modern democratic states)...and being a social democrat is not being a socialist or a communist, ppl are mixing up terms and concepts that are essentially very different. And it's disappointing to see Bernie praising a dictatorship, tbqh... ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you. politicqxs 358
i believe techno-utopian post-scarcity near-communist planet is achievable if capitalism continues to run its due course unless corporations find every possible way to stop it from happening, e.g. stop funding research so they can keep the price and profits high. giving up sodomy and moving to 🇦🇪 converting to ☪ and marrying four girls
