From Wikipedia I see Trump has gotten 7,537,086 as of last night. 

There's really no need to compare the vote totals between parties right now, since it's a completely meaningless endeavor and I suspect @Justinn understands that. To start, primaries are a terrible indication of how a general election will play out, since the two parties are not facing off against one another. It's a different dynamic, and thus turnout in one does not foretell turnout in the other. And obviously there are far fewer votes cast in a caucus than in a general election ballot.

Second, by all accounts the Republican primary has been the more exciting contest. Trump has captured the nation's and the world's attention; of course people are turning out in droves to cast their ballot. Not to mention the fact that 7% of the GOP electorate has been self-labeled Democrats switching parties in the open primary states because they think it's clever to sabotage the GOP by making Trump the nominee.

Finally, most of the big states that have voted have been Southern states where Republicans historically do well. California, Oregon, Washington, New York, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are all states with many Democratic voters who have yet to vote.

Justin's conclusion - that Donald should be the nominee if he arrives at the convention with the most votes, the most delegates, and having won the most states - is something I totally agree with. But the fact that he's racked up more votes than either (not both, either) of the two Democrats is not a cause for concern at all.
