'The Geography of Trump'

“It’s a nonurban, blue-collar and now apparently quite angry population” -William Frey, a demographer at Brookings Institution

The New York Times wrote a great article about the make-up of Trump supporters. It really gives insight into why these people are supporting him. The people who support him the most are white men and women who did not receive a high school diploma. I think the most ironic part is how a good majority of his supporters don't have a job and aren't looking for one. Did I not just see a video of Trump telling a protester to get out and go get a job and then the whole audience cheer?

The New York time say,

"Mr. Trump has his share of support from the affluent and the well educated, but in the places where support for Mr. Trump runs the strongest, the proportion of the white population that didn’t finish high school is relatively high. So is the proportion of working-age adults who neither have a job nor are looking for one. The third-strongest correlation among hundreds of variables tested: the preponderance of mobile homes."
