Hillary Clinton Shockingly Praises Nancy Reagan's 'AIDS Activism'

That's a nice way of thinking. Let's berate the person for unintentionally misquoting the actions of a recently deceased person and then quickly apologizing when corrected.

Also I don't get the "quotations". There was no "I apologize if I offended" bullshit. It's as much an apology as you can get. She said "I misspoke about their record", explained how she got things confused with stem cell research (which is not unrelated to AIDs research by the way), and then explicitly said "I'm sorry".

You're just aching to find ways to disparage her aren't you? It's so transparent. Fits the flamebait nature of this thread.

No I'm not. We have other threads about speech slips the other Presidential candidates make, Bernie included, so why can't I do the same for Hillary? She's not immune from criticism; its delusional to think otherwise.

Its a HUGE deal. The Reagan's blatantly IGNORED the AIDS crisis and even went as far as to deny a close friend of their's help he desperately needed. But keep drinking the kool aid I guess :awkney:

Ok let's clam down.... breathe and remember I am not the one who said it, it was Hilary.

You breathing yet......

So you are saying that what Hilary said is the same as Reagan's policies? Seems like misplaced anger.... lets all gang up on Hilary for accidentally misquoting a situation that happened many decades ago during a very public political death. Hilary didn't do the things you seem to be very angry about, you have a reason to be angry at what the Reagans did, but attacking Hilary like she did those things when all she did was misquote a situation and then apologized for it is a bit much.

Better yet lets insult GGD members for thinking it's not like Clinton said anything negative about people suffering from aids.

I have a much bigger issue with people who cut money for aids and hiv prevention facilities. People who are running for presidency, but then again, as you so nicely said, it must be the kool aid I am drinking :woot: and its not kool aid, its vodka and oj

I think there are worse things happening right now, in America, to aids and hiv prevention and to suffers of the disease than Hillary misquote. But hey everyone has a right to place their anger somewhere, albeit misplaced. :unicorn:

You're blowing this way out of proportion. Ignoring the fact that she actually apologized as opposed to the other slips, the ones you are referring to are vastly different in scope. Those are opinions  and thoughts on current issues that are political in nature. This is a misguided history factoid that is not formed from ignorance but from conflating of scientific grounds, since stem cell research is AIDS related but Nancy clearly did not have that intention.

Whatever. Carry on.

I meant her false comments, obviously... :awkney:

That wasn't clear and certainly wasn't obvious:

"...trying to politically capitalize on every event..."

If you had used the word at, instead of on, your excuse would make some sense.

Shadow

She did apologize at least and that is more than we get from most politicians these days.

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
