so basically what you're saying is that Trump is going to be the next president of the USA?

He might be saying that, but that doesn't mean it is accurate.

Trump will be the Republican nominee, unless the Republican Party decides to stage a takeover, of sorts, at their convention. The convention is supposed to be a way to officially announce the party's nominee and the party typically supports whoever has the most delegates from all the votes across the country. (This is what is going on now, the state by state vote of the people of the US) The leaders of the Republican Party are unhappy with Trump being the nominee, so they might try and nominate someone who doesn't have the majority. It's complicated and up in the air, at this moment.

The Independents (voters who don't categorize themselves as Democrats or Republicans) are the largest group of voters and usually end up deciding the presidency. Also, the vote from minorities is important in deciding the outcome. A Republican needs the Independent vote and a decent percentage of the minority vote to pull off a win. I don't think Trump is going to get that...but in politics, you never know.

I have read several articles that claimed that Clinton was losing to Sanders, so I'm a bit confused. Could you explain why you think Clinton is gonna win?

2 words. Super Delegates.

hillary is winning rn. looks like a wide margin with all those super delegates and such

cruz could beat trump but i doubt it.

the internet is skewed towards bernie. ron paul had a ton of support on the web but in reality the web represents a small portion of those who actually vote (imo :laughga: )

You shouldn't really ... Trust polls.

well I shouldn't tell you what you should and shouldn't do, I'm sorry.

But I don't. It seems so sketchy and innacurate as there's a big amount of people not registered or care for politics and like someone or another but feels they "don't count"

Super Delegates will switch to Sanders if he extends his winning streak into more diverse states and eventually appears to have more of a mandate than Clinton among Democratic voters.

They could break a "virtual tie" though, or a close race, and in that situation go for Hillary.

Too sum up what everyone else here is saying: America is f*ucked up and complicated.

And to add onto the complications, in order to run for President, all you need to do is be the age of 35.

It is really that simple. Don't mean you'll win though.

I realize you're probably just exaggerating, but in case you're not... you also have to be a natural-born citizen, and have lived in the US for fourteen years.

I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.

What other non-subjective qualifications would you suggest?

Having prior political experience would be an interesting qualification, and would probably be something I'd be in favor of, too.

I'm having some honest trouble not confusing your for the other dude... I forgot his name but he does not know how to stop, his icon is a lie, and he has turned me off from cowboys for a while. I cannot remember his username for the life of me though.

But yes, political experience of some kind would be nice... though I honestly can not think of anything else though.
