Why are all of Gwen Stefani's new singles flopping.

Gwen Stefani's new album, "This Is What The Truth Feels Like", has had two singles releases so far. Neither of the singles, "Used To Love You," and "Make Me LIke You," have breached the top 50 of the hot 100. Despite the fact they have been praised by fans and critics. She has also done a good amount of promotion, she had the grammy music video, a performance on Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, and The Voice. Is it because of her absence for so long, do people not like what she is making? Why are the general public so unwilling to let the incredible talent that is Gwen Stefani back into their lives?

But it could be a number of different things, honestly. Maybe because everyone knows it's too personal? Or maybe it's just to the general populace, it isn't good.

I love her, but her time is kind of over. She was huge, then she underperformed a few times, then she was absent, and now the GP doesn't care anymore.

I swear if an artist doesnt have hype around them its like a song cant catch on no matter what

 

and radio stations dont seem to take a risk in wasting time slots with songs from artists they arent convinced will catch on

 

With the exeption of Rihanna, i cant think of anyone in the past 10 years that has had consistent regular hits more than 5 years into their career

 

comebacks also seem really difficult these days. Justin Timberlake succeeded, but most attempted comebacks fail everytime.

not really sure that's the reason, because Gwen was a hit less than a decade ago, it's not like she's from a the puritan era. Tits and butts were always selling.
