That was too much, there's no need to be an asshole.

But I kinda agree with one of his points. Both Kim and Madonna are desperately trying to keep up with the younger celebrities and it's embarrassing. Not because they can't do the same things, but because they don't need to and it only looks desperate and forced.

Anyway I don't see how is this whole thing a big deal. It's not like Kim was anything more than a talentless celebrity who is famous because of her body. It's like getting mad at Tila Tequila for acting like an idiot.

I remember he said something really cruel about gaga and then I realized what a hateful person he is.

Also bear in mind that women don't often get hired in Hollywood when they age. You either stay looking young and sexy or get out of the way for the next young thing they'll pay to be the 40-something-male's love interest.

Example: http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/may/21/maggie-gyllenhaal-too-old-hollywood

That is true, but it's because most of these actresses want to be in a blockbuster, portraying a hot woman.

Meryl Streep has tons of roles, so does Helen Mirren, so does Glenn Close.... and all these women have undeniable talent. And for those who have gained fame with their looks and sex appeal, well, their fame is the product of the same society that they are now complaining about.

I knew someone was going to bring up the older women in Hollywood. :P

Just because there are older women does not mean the casting of a young woman to be the romantic interest of an older male isn't a recurring thing. It's a pattern we can't just disregard because Meryl Streep is a thing.

Meryl Streep and Catherine Zeta-Jones have actually spoken out to encourage directors to make films about older women because they are practically non-existent.
Kim Cattrall has said the "expiration date" for women in Hollywood tends to be 35, at which point they are offered an abundance of roles that feature "someone who was basically something grotesque or a cosmetic joke or something that had such negative connotations,"
Then there's this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paige-morrow-kimball/aging-out-hollywoods-prob_b_3999544.html

There is also actual research with data supporting claims that women past their 30s are underrepresented and usually represented as something negative when they are in film, spanning back through the decades:

http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11199-005-3710-1

Their fame may be a product of the same society we are complaining about, but again- that doesn't mean we should disregard it. Now that they are the older women in Hollywood they are seeing what it's actually like, and nowadays we are paying more attention to inequalities.
