Do you think LG5 can outdo Born This Way?

Both critically and commercially:

-Born This Way had three Grammy nominations: Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance for You and I
-Sold 6 million copies worldwide, 2.4 million of which were from the US, 1 million of which were from debut week sales. (I got these figures from Wikipedia, they are probably outdated)
-Spawned the #1 single Born This Way which stayed at on top  of the chart for 6 consecutive weeks, and three other top 10 singles.
-Won Gaga two Moonmen.
- Produced a tour that grossed $185 million

Considering the confirmed collaborators for LG5, I think Grammys are not too far-fetched.

The debut week sales however is not going to be topped, though I think it stands a chance at topping BTW's worldwide sales if she does extensive promotion in every country she can think of.

I am however, confident that her singles will do better than Judas, The Edge Of Glory, You and I and Marry the Night. Born This Way's success is however difficult to replicate.

artRAVE did decently despite mediocre album sales so I think the tour will do fine.

So do you think it's reasonable to expect LG5 to do as well as, if not better than Born This Way?

I think that the lead single will do quite well, given the fact that Little Monsters have been waiting for almost 3 years for new pop music, so I'm confident that the lead single will do well commercially.

As for the album and the whole era it's hard to tell tbh

But I feel like it'll do just a tad better than, if not equal to BTW's success overall:)

Side note: I also think it's time the Grammys give Gaga her well-overdue Album of the Year award :derpga:

It's really hard to say without hearing any music and knowing what promo will be like. Of course it can but it really depends on whether she pulls through with those two factors. My personal expectations are that it will fare better than ARTPOP. Album sales are tragic at the moment and we shouldn't just assume that Gaga will be exempt from that straight away. The tour will do fine.

I used to had my hopes in the sky but.....it's taking too much, even me as a Little Monster I'm getting tired......

What really worries me is the Tour, I hope she is still that powerful touring artist to put an stadium tour and of course to slay the streaming which today is very important.

Also someone said about AOTY, 100% agreed to that, but if she releases it before the time, '25' will snatch it

another shot before we kiss the other side

BTW had that hype and sales because everyone was waiting for her next album after Fame's massive success! It was like Adele's 25 after 21's success (in lower numbers of course). I don't think Gaga will ever achieve that mainstream hype she had.

yes if it werent for the 99 cents deal it wouldnt reach half a million sales.so minus that it will prolly just 300 k or something. Gaga is not just a gay icon now i think the gp starts to take her sersiously (some became fans actually) after these amazing performances so im guessing shell cross half a million sales with a proper promo and timing. If not higher than born this way minus the 99 cents deal.

The 99 cents deal only accounted for 400k sales. Amazon bought each album at full price from interscope and sold them at a loss to promote their streaming platform
