So what is the deal with Till It Happens To You?

So what is the deal with Till It Happens to You? Apparently the song is going to be sent to the radio next week but I still have many questions. For example, is this song going to be sent to the radio like any regular single or did Gaga just ask radio DJs to play it but its not anything official? In other words is this song for sure going to be added and played on the radio or is this still uncertain?

I don't think they can force a station to play anything... It's just if they want to. And I thought it was already sent to radio?

Gaga is trying to push it. It got a lot of Oscars exposure, and remains as a part of Gaga's comeback. But sadly, that's really all it's gonna be, i don't see it being a single on radio, etc.

Everyone means well, it's just more of a serious thing that won't go on radio.

Even if radio stations don't play it, it should still be added on their request playlist. But so far I don't see anything happening. I think it was supposed to be added next week though.

It was sent to radio, she did an interview with Z100, she's tryna get the word out.

That doesn't mean it'll happen. Everyone still loves Gaga, it's just TIHTY isn't a pop song for radio.

So radio stations can already play the song? And if the song was added, why is the song no where to be found the on request lines.

It's not like that. Stations have to add it (i think), but it's out there, it might still be March 8th but i thought they pushed up the date (they said immediately). The rest is radio liking and picking it up, which likely won't happen.

Ok. So is basically up to the radio station to play now. Anyways, I always found it dumb that radio stations don't give songs a chance for the audience to listen to songs first, before deciding that they won't play some songs.

That's the truth! I used to get so mad. They would NOT play DWUW or G.U.Y. on my local stations. I kept requesting it, but no.

It's more understandable with Til it Happens To You. They have AC stations that sometimes play it but its one of those songs that monsters will listen to often, or if a casual person likes it, you'll find it on iTunes and listen on a playlist.

It's not the type of thing that you'll wanna listen to in between Ryan Seacrest or Elvis Duran Interviews in the morning, like for most people it's not like i'd wanna hear Til it Happens To You on my drive home from work, or drive there. It's a good song but it's very classical, and it also has a serious meaning that is kinda dark.

DWUW was played all the time were I live, but I only heard GUY one time lol. I feel this is part of the reason why GUY did not due well. The radio just did not want to play it.

True, but I don't agree with radios deciding what they think people might like before letting people decide for themselves.

I still don't understand why radios didn't play G.U.Y .. can someone give a justification! !
