Taylor 964 Posted December 31, 2018 Author Share Posted December 31, 2018 (edited) Taylor's 2019 Predictions/Wish List I got really bored typing these up so skipped a bunch of artists I/we as a thread don't care about so much Spoiler No promotions but no disbandment announcements - After School, Brave Girls, Crayon Pop, f(x), Girl's Day, Girls' Generation, HELLOVENUS, Nine Muses and Playback. Ailee - a comeback at some point, maybe a mini album in March. ANDA - now in the YG (subsidiary) basement. AOA - I can't really see them doing all that much as I guess FNC's focus will be on Cherry Bullet. Maybe a comeback in the middle of the year if anything. Not sure when their contracts expire. BLACKPINK - following the pattern of 4 songs in 2016, 1 song in 2017 and 4 songs in 2018, I guess we'll get 1 song in 2019. Japan wise they'll re-release "BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA" with no new content with another 12 versions. Japanese version of new Korean song will be released with at least 6 versions. No solo promotions for any member except Jennie. BoA - I hope she continues to focus on the Korean market but she does have a Japanese single being released in February. I'd like to see her release another mini album at the least - perhaps over the summer. CHI CHI - resurrect. No, I'm kidding. Chung Ha - Single in January (confirmed) and mini album in June. CLC - 8th mini album in March but get continue to be overshadowed by (G)I-DLE. WJSN - Comeback in January (confirmed) and another comeback in September. September comeback will also be the 10 member lineup (or 11 to include Cheng Xaio) as further issues arise with the Rocket Girls members. Dreamcatcher - Q1 release a mini album, go on another tour in Q2, 5th mini album in Q3. Japanese promotions, I can see them releasing another single in April and perhaps a third single in November. EXID - Japanese album in February (confirmed), Korean mini album in July. (G)I-DLE - 2nd mini album in January, continue to do well. Perhaps another digital single over the summer and I'd like to see them release a further mini album at the end of the year - but it's Cube, so... yeah. GFRIEND - Korean album in January, 2nd and 3rd Japanese singles and February and March (all confirmed). I can see them releasing a full length Japanese album in September, and maybe a Korean comeback in October. Girls' Generation-Oh!GG - not really sure if they'll release anything at all but it would be nice to see them release a mini album with a few new songs + the two songs their 2018 release. Heize - I'd really like to see Heize release a full length album towards the start of the year (Feb to April) and then a mini album in November/December. HYO - releases 2-3 digital singles, I'd like a physical release combining all of her stuff so far but I can't see it happening. Hyolyn - same as HYO, really - but I think the physical is slightly more likely. HyunA - let's try it again... 7th mini album in August. IU - I was really disappointed with IU's promotions this year since it was her 10th anniversary. I've read that she has plans to release an album (hopefully a full length one) at some point, so hopefully around April. I'd also like her recent concert to be released on DVD and Blu-ray. IZ*ONE - become the new TWICE (in terms of volume of physical stuff). Lee He - basement. LOOΠΔ - I'd like them to have a comeback in January/early Feb (my wallet doesn't though) and then rest until "LOOΠΔ the Ballad" is released in May. Perhaps we'll see a new sub-unit debut in the later part of the year. Luna - digital single in January (confirmed). Maybe a STATION release at some point but I'm not gonna get my hopes up. I'd like to see a physical album but I really doubt it. MAMAMOO - finish off their album series in January, have that concert fans voted to postpone, release their 2018 concert on DVD/Blu-ray and maybe a digital single at the end of the year. Japan... they have their Wind Flower single being released in February (confirmed), maybe another single over the summer and album in October. OH MY GIRL - 1st Japanese album in January (confirmed), I'd like to see them release a full length Korean album - maybe mid year. NO MORE BANHANA PLEASE, I BEG. PRISTIN - honestly I can see that girl leaving (if she hasn't already) and the group re-debuts. Maybe they'll drop PRISTIN and just focus on PRISTIN V? Red Velvet - I can see them releasing a mini album in May/June and then being relatively quiet for the remainder of the year as SM gear up to debut a new girl group. Shannon Williams - basement. SoRi - I can see this going one of two ways. Either another digital single that doesn't really do anything, SoRi stops being an idol. OR MOLE really push and manage to get a foothold in with another single and then release a mini album in Q3. Suzy - third mini album in February. Taeyeon - second full album in March and re-package in April/May. Weki Meki - a single in February and mini album in September.
