I'm first ranking all the singles within each album era just to make it a little more manageable, then I'm gonna mash those rankings all together into one big list. Ranking the Deep River singles is hard. Like, they're all songs I would consider among my favorites (except Sakura Drops which is kinda middling for me). Hikari, Letters, and Traveling especially. Mine is pretty much done but I still want to relisten some of the songs that were basically tied one last time just to confirm (or alter) the order I chose. One of the biggest surprises was how terrible the single choices for Fantôme were (aside from the Sheena collab and Michi, which barely qualifies as a single)... that album unexpectedly tanked on my list because of that even though I do like it as a full package. Yeah most of the singles on Fantome weren't very good now that I think about it (same with Hatsukoi). But the album was crazy successful cuz it was her big comeback after a five-year hiatus, so the singles didn't really matter haha. I actually kinda like Hanataba wo Kimi Ni, it's a cute song but I'm sure it won't be in my top 10. Oh also don't forget to include Goodbye Happiness, which was the single promoting Singles Collection Vol. II Another thing - I think I'm gonna rank both "Flavor of Life" and "Flavor of Life - ballad version" separately.
