If y'all were to audition (in a hypothetical situation where you had all the requirements), would y'all audition to debut in an SM boy group? Please respond I legit want to know :selena: :poot:

are you considering doing the SM NBG audition, cause I am too :poot: but since I really don't have much talents in singing  or dancing, my probability of getting in is close to zero :enigma:

if you're really talented, I guess debuting in an SM boy group can be much better than smaller companies as you're  basically guaranteed a wider audience & you get paid lol. creative freedom is another story though. in the big 3, trainees are a lot more competitive too I think, so it will be really tough once you get in

There's an audition going on right now :poot:

But idk...there's things like the plastic surgery and skin bleaching/whitening (unless make-up), longevity, etc. that turns me off so much lol like imagine going through all of that in SK when I could have a better career from the Western world in the future (which do you think is better? Not to be superficial but since you mentioned audience, fame in the west or in SK?). Also the messes with dealing with Ch * na and censorship (e.g. Tzuyu :fail:) stresses me out like is it really worth it in the end :messga:

NO. OmgNO.

There’re legendary stories of Taeyeon running out that demonic building in middle of her practice (she was thrown a ball to her stomach for vocal training). Or Lay basically beat the **** out of someone because of hunger. Or Wendy was being monitored like a grade 1 prisoner for her weight loss.

Debuting as SM idol is like 90% that you will be IT idol but also like you will lost 120% of your entire soul to demons  :yennefer:.

===

But if any of y’all make it, please tell me what really happened on 30/09/2014 aka Jessica departure :yennefer:.

===
Also, avoid Choi Siwon and his dog :yennefer:.

I would never audition to be in a kpop group in a million years: it sounds really tempting in some ways, but knowing what we know about how they're treated, I could never subject myself to that.

That said, if someone decided they WERE okay with that, then at least debuting with SM is like guaranteed stardom (even if it's shoved down our throats...). It would suck to train/debut with a small company that went under a year after your debut lol, but at least it's probably more likely you'd be treated like an actual human being at a non-SM company.

Had I discovered kpop at an earlier age, I might've. Probably not SM tho

Yeah just asked mom for the sake of reaction and she wasn't amused :poot:

What if y'all were auditioning for Big Hit though? They're new money but aren't they better?

Don't BTS and TXT have comebacks, like, every two months? I get the sense Big Hit isn't as egregiously abusive as companies like SM but I think they probably way overwork their members.

And honestly I feel like whatever company you end up with, it's still gonna be like... wake up at 4am, rehearse all day, barely eat anything, go to sleep at 12am, repeat the next day. The kpop industry just be like that.

I read this and feel sad cause this is a normal routine for most East Asians regardless your occupations. Idol/trainees actually get worse ones. :selena:

The way these complications keep missing sixth sense is why our society is pro-capitalism.
