I kind of struggle to get the term 'survivor' while for such long time she was not even sure if it was rape or not. People say Americans could perceive anything a rape.

Many rape victims try to rationalize and explain away what happened to them as a coping mechanism. It's common to deny and not mentally admit to themselves that they were abused because the thought is so disturbing to them. This has nothing to do really with being American or European.

Sure I know but I think there is a difference between rough rape resulting in physical and deep mental damage and abusive touch/approach. Of course rape shouldn't be something that one can rank, but I just have impression these days anyone can be raped and deeply emotionaly damaged. My father was touching and abusing me when I was a kid but to be honest it resulted only in me being disgusted by him and I having little more awkward introduction to sex life. The reaction differs from person to person but in some cases I can sense attention seeking (not pointing out at anyone).
