venusfly 17,885
Rihanna is not the biggest artist out there, she has a lot of hits, but she has no large appeal. Being the biggest artist around is not just about charting, its about acclaim, its about people talking about you, it's about sell-out tours. The only headlines Rihanna grabbed with her new music was about how much struggle it went through in its release and how she couldn't sell out stadiums while Beyonce did in seconds or minutes, with far FAR less promo. I'd hazard a guess to say Taylor Swift is the biggest artist right now, I don't particularly like her music but shes a giant right now.

Rihanna reaches a bigger audience because she stands for nothing, and her music is catchy. Has she ever commented on any social matter? Does she do anything other than release albums and go to fashion shows?
Charliie 1,829
She is not an artist. She is an entertainer and her impact is not global.
Whispering 18,865
The biggest global artists currently are Adele, Taylor and Beyonce. Rihanna isn't doing well with album sales and touring this era.

Even if she doesn't release a song for years, people would still talk about her and her songs will sound fresh. Her social media power is so powerful, her impact on fashion and trends is undeniable. Even if she flops the next song will still be anticipated by general public. Even the slightest mediocre song will make GP bop at it. Her endless global power will never end. ... The general public adore Taylor Swift, Adele and Beyonce more. Don't let Rihannas number one make you cocky when her tour and album sales speak other wise

(edit: no shade or anything) Are you kidding? Everyone had her haircut, it happened in the 3 eras. It hasn't been like that but it was a thing. Every girl, on the street, had some Rihanna inspired outfit, back in the day

This is mediocre honestly. Even Avril Lavigne is a better singer

It is the hardcore Navy that cares for her other journey into artistry. Her vocals are great and she has very good pitch! Her songwriting has been proven on Anti. Which is what Anti is all about its from her and a small group of people working with her. She comes up with the general idea and direction and use to find songs for that this time it was different thus the timing it took. People think it is so easy to write and produce songs and have them released but as an artist and a fellow writer it isn't always the case.
