Why are you conflating justification for defense? She is certainly responsible but that doesn't necessarily imply that she did it with a clear state of mind nor with a premeditated intent to kill.

Again with the black and white issues. I'm glad lawyers exist because if people like you were in complete control of the judicial system, everyone would be sent to prison or even killed or something as opposed to mental rehabilitation.

It's not an excuse, but you should not treat her as some evil person who doesn't deserve of some sympathy or understanding.

It's very hard for me given that I think this is a heinous act given that a child was hurt but objectivity is important in discussions about her.

I would say the odds are that there's an ulterior motive. You never know though, I hope both of them come out of it healthy and okay.

Yeah, killing the baby was v unnecessary. She should have given it up for adoption or aborted it. Poor thing

I hope the mom is okay too tho. Killing something you love (or not)? A tragic decision nonetheless. She doesn't need to go to jail, she needs professional help first.

Not wanting the baby is no excuse to hurt it. She could have had an abortion or given the baby up for adoption if she really didn't want it....

Either way now it's clear that she isn't qualified to keep the baby.

And yeah thank god lawyers exist thats way her crazy ass got sentenced to a two year of supervision & a year of therapy. Mental.
