boobtank 9,090
Do you think Gaga will be able to pave her own lane/trailblaze through all these MAJOR releases? There's no questioning the competition ALREADY in 2016, with artists like Adele, Rihanna, Kanye West, Sia, Justin Bieber- do you think her release will receive enough attention? Raikou 1,169
Yes, there's a lot of anticipation for Gaga's new music. If she serves great songs that aren't conventional dance pop, everyone will be gobsmacked.
HEARTHUNTER 7,611
The bitch isn't saying anything because the music will be excellent this time
yASSsss 35,510
While everyone is trying to be experimental with their new music,Gaga will break the norm and bring back basic disco tunes. It will be 2008 all over again. She's coming to change the pop music scene. JevyDuty 2,961
I think so too. The competition is strong this year but Gaga is going to come back rested and strong.

EdX 2,900
Well, tbh it looks like pretty much every pop artist is putting out hip-hop/trap/pop music in 2016, so if she releases any different music from that ( I believe she will lol ), she will definitely stand out. jomonster12 239
I really don't think there's BIG competition, only JB and Adele, but Gaga will definitely stand out.
Lextyr97 20,690
Yes. She's gonna kill everyone with this release. Get the point that we're all going to die from this album?

It's Gaga's plan... Spoiler 1. Release "experimental" music with ARTPOP 2. Experimenting with music becomes the new thing 3. Other artists begin to release experimental albums that probably won't chart well or have impact 4. Release an album with refreshing sounds 5. Become praised as being fresh, innovative, and original 6. Profit ... to end careers.

Yeah but both Rihanna and Beyonce albums have/will have some sort of trap influence music. And so Gaga is definitely not going to follow.

Iwontell 7,312
I know it's not a popular opinion here, but I don't care how she does commercially - if she does good, ok; if she doesn't, ok... I'm really hoping to see her evolving, that's what matters to me. If she keeps evolving and growing as an artist I'll remain interested...better lyrics, beautiful melodies, sophisticated production (preferably something different from the urban stuff we hear in the radio all the time), that's what I want... Going #1 or selling 10 million with mediocre stuff, I don't care for that...I mean, I'd probably still be interested in her, bc I know she has potential, but I'd maybe just watch her from a distance... ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

To be honest, I think most of the aforementioned releases had big expectations tied to them but most of them were underwhelming once they were actually released, especially Rihanna (what a mess of an era, everything seems improvised and just random), Sia (Meh), and Kanye West (who's apparently lost his mind). The only actual competition in terms of cultural dominance seem to be Adele, Bieber and Beyoncé. And even so, despite the huge repercussions last year, Adele and Bieber seem to have dialed down on the exposure, having already reached and left behind the respective peaks of their current eras. That leaves us with Beyoncé (Britney is no grammy material anyways, unless she totally surprises the world and comes up with a complete reinvention of herself, which seem less and less likely).
