I love him so much Our date should be safe I hope I mean it's London and this is Rihanna, she did Twickenham Stadium twice for Diamonds World Tour and a billion dates at the O2 for Loud Tour, and the removal of some other UK dates should mean that people will be flocking to the remaining dates so fingers crossed that the 24th will remain unchanged
NE Thing 1,459
So, I've been looking at this all day and I thought I would make a summary, for people who haven't or can't be bothered to read this entire thread. - The shows in Phoenix, San Jose, San Diego, Dallas, Austin, Houston, New Orleans and Atlanta have been rescheduled to May. - The Amsterdam show had been delayed by six days, and the Coventry show by eleven days. - The Prague date has been moved forward by one day, and moved from the Eden Stadium to the O2 Arena. (I think this way a logistical problem, as the O2 Arena only allows her to play for 3,000 people less than the stadium would tbh). - Shows in Turin, Barcelona and Malmo have been added, as well as a festival show in Hasselt. - The Werchter Boutique show has been cancelled, but this was previously considered to be cancelled anyway due to a Police strike which would then mean that the show would be unsafe to attend. - The Weeknd cancelled his opening slot for the shows in Berlin, Vienna and Prague. - The Vienna shows has been moved from the Ernst Happel Stadium to the Wiener Stadthalle. A difference of 50,000 people to 15,000. The show was also moved forward a day. - The Berlin show has been moved a day, and the venue has changed from Olympiastadion to the Mercedes Benz Arena. A change from 70,000 people to 17,000. Yikes... - Rihanna will be performing at the Skanderborg Festival in Denmark also. - The shows in Cardiff and Sunderland have been canceled, but ticket holders can exchange their ticket for a ticket to a show in London, Glasgow and Manchester. For example, the Prague poster used to say WITH THE WEEKND & BIG SEAN, but on the website, it has changed to WITH BIG SEAN. Coventry still says both of them, but keep checking. Whispering 18,865
I bet ya some people at Samsung are getting fired over this mess! You know that they have been in meetings this week saying "Why didn't we go for Beyonce?"
StrawberryBlond 14,900
A lot of my predictions don't come true but this one actually did. This tour was a big mistake right from the off. Her label actually had the audacity to put tickets on sale before this messy album had even been released. After a terrible beginning and knowing that she wasn't going to be using the first 3 singles on the album, who in their right mind thought this was going to work out? It's modern damage control - do everything in your power to convince people you're successful, even when you're not. Have a stadium tour to give the impression you're succeeding when in reality, you're only selling half the place out, if that. And she actually had the gall to add more dates! Don't dig a deeper hole for yourself! With the touring market being how it is, for Rihanna to do stadiums in Europe, considering she did quite a few stadiums last tour, is foolish. Not to mention, Coldplay and Beyonce are doing stadium tours that are selling like hot cakes. Out of those three, it was a no brainer who you would choose to miss. Seeing as she's supposed to be performing at the BRITS on the 24th which is only 2 days before the first tour date was originally going to start, it's becoming increasingly likely that she'll cancel that too (I thought she might anyway, considering performing in Britain and then flying to LA and doing rehearsals before the first date of your tour all within 2 days is a big ask). I mean, if her bronchitis is supposedly going to take until March to get over, how can she perform in the next 5 days? If she cancels it'll be the second consecutive BRITS cancellation (she cancelled the one last year, remember, she was supposed to do 45S, but Kanye took her place instead?) I'm shocked that out of all the dates she cancelled, it was 2 in the UK of all places. The UK used to be her second biggest market! To think, just 2 years ago, she played to over 300k people in the UK at multiple gigs. Now, 2 years later and no proper hits (45S was hardly a hit and Work is just hanging around on name recognition) and her biggest flop album since Rated R, she can't sell out 6 stadiums. It's amazing how times can change. It also proves how much Rihanna only gets demand when she's being commercial. It's officially no longer cool to like her. The day has finally come. I didn't think it would happen before she turned 30, though. 23 hours ago, Harry said: This is exactly why people hate our fan base. As soon as something goes wrong with Gaga and other fanbases/the media drag her, we're the first to cry and scream about promote online kindness and "respecting the artist" or whatever other **** comes up. But as soon as someone else is flopping or having issues you're all the first to swoop in like vultures and be absolute asses about the situation You who act that way make Gaga look bad lol. You don't exactly dish out online kindness. I think the hate is completely justified. Put it this way, dissing an artist who flops isn't the nicest thing to do, but it's a natural human reaction, it's our culture. They put themselves out there to be judged. So, if people are going to laugh when my fave fails, damn right I'm going to laugh when their fave fails. It's sweet to see the smile be knocked off their face. With Rihanna in particular, I am relishing every minute of her downfall. Its been a long time coming. For years, she's got away with barely contributing to her career at all while claiming to be a rock star, going on endless holidays when the fate of her album hung in the balance, cancelling tour dates on the day of a show due to illness and then clubbing the next day, turning up to concerts 2 hours late and not trying when she does and most of all, going from a sweet girl to a horrible person who's even insulted her own fans on Twitter personally. Someone like that doesn't deserve success in my book. If there really is something deeper going on in her life or if she's got a drug problem, then she needs to take time out from the industry (after 8 albums in 11 years, she's got a right) and sort herself out. She shouldn't still be pumping out work she doesn't care for and messing her fans about and letting people down. As others have said, if Gaga had made Anti, she'd be dragged to the pits. Now that someone else is going through what she did (and worse), and it's someone who's always been arrogant and had arrogant fans, they've got to go through it too. It's only fair. I think all artists should be held to the same standards. If it's unacceptable for Gaga to flop without being dragged, then every other artist should endure the same thing. Gaga gets so much undue hate all the time and then when someone else flops, they get away with it. And up until this moment, Rihanna ALWAYS got away with EVERYTHING. This is her luck running out at long last and it's the best Christmas present I never asked for but always wanted. Does that make me a bad person? Eh, she's got enough money to last her for life and has left somewhat of a musical legacy behind her. I needn't feel too guilty.
