Can't understand how you guys are preaching **** like "Promote Online Kindness" all the time yet you drag Katy to the pits at every chance you get. It's seriously so tiring to enter a Katy related thread.

So one rep saying it means it's the truth? If it was, then would've the other two flops be hits and wasn't he fired or something right afterwards? If it was true then wouldn't more people would've reported it.

There were demand for the tour, she even added additional dates.

Yes, it was shoveled down 7 millions people throat (who bought the single correct me if I'm wrong) and it was also shoved down 1 billion + people's throat to watch the video. Nice to know that you were in the recording studio and can also tell the future for Katheryn.

This is what I got for goggling Katy :awkney:

Not to be blunt or anything but with the amount of marketing and resources behind Katy if she didn't pull off a 200 million gross tour I would be shocked. Don't confuse mass marketing and shoving material down the throats of people + paying stations to play your singles more than your competition as actual talent. Katy is more of a brand than she is an actual musician. That's all I have to say. She's an institutionalized popstar no different from Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, or Justin Bieber in 10 years or even less there will be some newer younger and more popular pop ACT to replace her that's why if she were truly in it for the long haul and cared about musicianship or artistry she would be more grateful for her peers and fellow colleagues and she would actually try to make a difference instead of ride around on fake shooting stars and shooting whipcream out of her bra. Musically, she has left nothing other than some catchy bubblegum pop hits that will fade. She has no staying power because she has no genuinity

not when Firework comes to life at every big event:rip:

and don't deny TD didn't impact 1989:rip:

And it's that Toronto radio who only exists on twitter and plays pop girls songs 24/7

Payola, in the form of legal trade-offs from record labels, are still very much a part of radio play. Katy's flops were played on radio like they were sitting in the top 5 on iTunes for months...and that simply wasn't the case. Her Radio play was completely out of line with the interest in three out of her five last singles. There was a great deal of payola involved in those instances.

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Okay. But has anyone report her using payola.

LOL

Celine's That's The Way It Is was #2 on radio when it peaked at #6

Mariah's Make It Happen was #2 on Radio when it peaked at #5

Whitney's I Have Nothing was #2 on Radio when it peaked at #4

if you have crossover appeal and produce non stop hits, Radio WILL support you
