It's the current news right now, and i do think kanye west helped taylor's career from the 2009 vmas. looking at the google trends could prove that easily, and taylor is more famous than ever before since Kanye stole the microphone from taylor.

The only people denying it are Taylor stans and SJWs who don't understand that bad people can say true things. The problem is the sexual context of the comment.

Her entire career was built on what happened that night, if it had the power to take the greatest rapper ever from universally celebrated to America's most notorious villain than it obviously had the power to do the same in reverse for Taylor.

Um no. I don't even really like Taylor but she worked her ass off for her success and owes Kanye nothing. He is an idiot for even suggesting that. Kanye is a brat who needs a filter.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

Well... Yeah.

I mean, it was a huge moment for her and positioned her as the poor innocent white girl who got her microphone taken off her by the angry black man. She was the victim and the entire country and world felt sorry for her and wanted her to succeed.

President Obama talked about the issue, it was all over the T.V, it was inescapable.

It absolutely boosted her career, although it was growing nicely without Kanye's 'help' too.

That's a loooooot of assumption being made there.

OT: Controversy of any kind is "good" for sales. It gets your name in headlines, on TV and computer screens, so honestly, that childish little stunt he pulled probably boosted both of their sales for a month or more. In no way is he responsible for making her the success she is now :toofunny: and I don't even like the girl so.

In regards to general critical reception Kanye is miles ahead of everyone else, that's all.

He helped hers and he helped his own. Taylor already had the best digital selling country song ever before that, she already won Grammys, had #1 albums, he interrupted her while she was winning an award; he did not build her, but he most definitely helped. She was a victim, he was a ****, why wouldn't the media support her.
