I just don't get it.. she says the message is so important but she releases singles like Birthday, TIHWD, and Dark Horse - songs that literally have no message whatsoever and are just commercial hack jobs. 

Mark my words, she's waiting on Gaga.... she wants to keep her "cycle" in synch with Gaga. That's all this is. She is in the R&D phase because she has no clue as to what Gaga is doing.. And personally I think one reason why Gaga has been so hush hush is for this very reason. 

Also, Katy, give us a break... Bonnie does your writing so don't act like writing is a big process for you...

Katy is one of the only few current artists who actually has a hand in the writing process.  She's had several tracks where she is the sole write so this argument is just silly.

I think last year I post a thread that Stargate was saying how Katy was in full involvement with Firework and how Sia and Katy got into various "argument" with different ideas. If she was just singing whatever people give her then these writers wouldn't complain about how she want this and ho she wanted change that etc.

It's just an excuse to critic Katy but without evidence it's meaningless.  

She has written a majority of her songs and copious amounts for other artists.   She may not be the best vocalist but even Adele said that girl can write a killer hook.   

Critic her voice as you please but you can't come for writing credits.

Exactly. How could one not be a writer if they're credited to write for others. 

Her voice is a win or a miss. I'll drag her (or any of my fave) if she does something bad, like her latest photo shoot... Don't know what were she thinking.

If the same people didn't run in and post pages and pages of comments of complaints about the thread, it wouldn't draw so much attention to the thread. Half the comments are the defenders. That's what stirred up the thread and made it grow.
