There was a low-key decline going on. It seems like it started to turn into trying to be different and focusing more on that then the music. My fav era was The Fame Monster bc the concept was there, and so was the music. LOL, Get the **** outta here. ARTPOP is a great album. Like I said if you don't think so, then go listen to those terrible shitty albums I mentioned in the OP.

That's what makes art, art! And just because someone doesn't like ARTPOP doesn't mean they like Miley or Carly (but who really cares??) djBuffoon 12,123
Not sure if the OP is being sarcastic or not, but I do think ARTPOP is indeed a great album. One or two duds, sure, but great pop music with strong personality and variety, things that very few of its kind have. And for that matter, so is E-MO-TION. PS: it's obvious he has good tastes since he questions the reason of liking the album rather than just being a sheep Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
Kabexuela 1,184
Elton is Queen girlies. She was snatchin' weaves before we were conceived, being conceived, or old enough to have weaves snatched. So, give credit to a headbitch where and when credit is due fellow clan sistrens. ARTPOP is a good album but in my opinion, could've been better if it had the mystic-sensual and cutting edge sound she delivered through her iTunes performances. It wasn't as colorful, sound wise, but that's why it was amazing to me. It had a nostalgic Lords of Acid sensuality to it but packed a punch. It didn't sound as busy as the final projects. Not only that, but the choice of lyrics and arrangement presented was better in that concert as well. Her style of stage outfits with a reasonable height wig (not all about the mountain of hair) were minimal but fresh. That matched the first picture she released to promote the album/concert with the transparent mask and hairstyle. It was sooooo cohesive and executed perfectly. That should've been the album cover. It felt like every time a change was made to its original production, musically and stylistically, it would go against her. Anyway, I'm ready for the next rounds. She has everyone peeking in her direction. LG5 is the most-anticipated album of this year.

ARTPOP is indeed a great album, much better than The Fame Monster in my opinion; since all TFM had going for it when the era was over was BR's video & it's success, then of course the overrated hype that arose randomly from critics finally latching onto the song in 2012. And I'd say there's only 2 actually good songs on the album the rest are either just there (Telephone, Bad Romance, Speechless & Teeth) or downright awful in my eyes (DITD). Where as ARTPOP had a solid amazing 6 songs, 3 good songs, 5 meh songs and one generic and boring song. So yes I agree, plus I never trust Elton or any of the legends she likes anyways because many people who like them claim their longevity and superiority in music yet they haven't had a top 40 hit in decades. Which says to me they only know the old ways of good pop music not the current ones. THANK YOU! AMEN! Preach my friend, Preach. Very well said, I couldn't have said it any better. Edonis 28,950
You know...if you truly enjoy an album that much and live the album regardless of what others say, why must you, and so many others continue to post threads acting like you're above everyone's opinion and that you only type facts. It's time to move on. I love ARTPOP. I think it's amazing and if it had the proper management and lack of crazy behind the scenes drama, the album would have given six amazing videos and much more memorable era. But it didn't. And that's ok. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that you don't have to have the approval of the masses and continuously defend something as silly as an album if you know in your heart you love it. I do the exact same thing for E•MO•TION.
Staryu 6,162
Well I think that ARTPOP is a bad album with a few really good songs. Opinions.
Pacify Him 9,073
It was underrated, yes. I'm listening to Fashion! right now and I'm being slain because it's so good! But I'm noticing lately is that I can see now what everyone's saying that it was badly produced although Gaga's singing is the only good part tbh. I don't like the composition aside from the lyrics and the vocal parts. I’m getting on your nerves
