LG5: Now is all up to the music

Whatever she does, I just hope she comes up with something really fresh. Born This Way is my favorite album because it sounds like no other modern album I have heard. I want something as true to herself as BTW. I hope her collab with Mark Ronson doesn't mean we're getting Uptown Gaga Funk.

Tbh I think for her age at the time, the quality of her first few albums was alright. She had some great artistry and made music that appealed to her at that point.

She isn't 24 anymore. I'm 28 in June and I'm getting tired of typical "made for clubs" songs. She surely must be.

To keep her music high quality but importantly mature and timeless, remembering she will be 30 before it's release, she will likely look to classic pop and emulate timeless auras.

An example of this in Gaga's discography is "you and I" which, unlike most of her songs, she can sing until she's dead. Let's not wish for her to become an old lady with inappropriate songs that make her look foolish on bland world tours.

Her music will have hopefully grown up looking at who she's working with. That will show her as an artist forever evolving

Songs such as "Back to black", "don't wanna miss a thing" and "candle in the wind" are entirely possible.

I don't think she necessarily has to make club anthems but sis, she's only 29. :air: She can make more traditional pop and have some tracks that sound like those songs you listed, but I don't think the GP or most of her fans are expecting an album of nothing but that.

I like ARTPOP too, but the biggest example of the supply/demand phase was Aura with 'please new vocals'

It was a very weird time.

Yes. It was obvious that Gaga decided to change the vocals because at the time, they were considered to rough or raw. Now almost everyone prefers those raw vocals lol. Proof that Gaga just need to do whatever she wants to do.

Proof fans don't know what they want either! :emma:

She does still have a lot of negativity but this time around the negativity is in the minority. Plus she will always have some negativity no matter what because that just how some people are.

Maybe so...still, I'm very skeptical about people...I'll have to see some stuff happen before I say "ok, now she's being treated with the same respect and consideration as the other popstars"...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

I really don't care if people like her or don't. I'd rather her approach this era doing what she wants instead of catering to anyone because that's how we'll end up with another ARTPOP.

ARTPOP ended with her tryna be different. Thats why everyone was kinda done. She was overexposed and no one understood it anymore. If she's making music more for the GP then its better music, not necessarily mainstream but better.

I mean, right now, she's being held as a goddess among jokes. FB comments are so positive and they love her talent.

Whispering

Gaga needs to follow her artistic vision and that's all I care about. The fact that she is one of the most talented music artists of this generation is fully established. Those are the only two things that matter to me.

And I hope that doesn't change, but Idk...I still feel the other girls are treated differently, specially by critics (I'm sure that, despite the album not being finished yet, nme, slant, all the pretentious hipsterdom already has their reviews written and they're not good)...
