I don't think so, I mean it's not like she's got a physically active performance so I don't see why she can't sing live  I'm not against pre-recorded vocals, but it just adds another depth of "wow  " when it's live and Gaga can definitely deliver on that front

I think that she is really at the mercy of the NFL in this case, I highly doubt that they will leave this decision up to Gaga herself.  It's really their show, so it most likely is their call in the end.  That being said, I would still prefer Gaga to sing live!

Exactly!  If she doesn't perform live it could be because they forced her to pre-record her performance, so people here better not come for Gaga if that's the case!  

Knowing Gaga, though, she probably said that her only condition to sing the National Anthem would be if they allowed her to do it live.

The live singing mostly turned out poorly because stadium acoustics are bad for accapella, look up Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, and Carrie Underwood for example.

Do y'all even watch football? Suddenly everyone knows how the anthem at this event works? Usually the NFL does NOT allow live vocals due to acoustics. 

The question shouldn't be "is gaga going to use pre-recorded vocals?" but rather "will the NFL let her sing live?" 

They don't give a crap about star power. If they made Whitney lip it, Gaga won't be any different. 

She'll probably have to ask permission and if they say yes, then we will hear her live. If they say no, she'll either suck it up and lip it or stay at home. 

Live or not, we know she can sing and as is customary for this event, it doesn't matter if she's lipping or not.

Another thing: it's not an issue of artistic integrity, it's a technical issue. 

The NFL isn't going to pay for the installation of acoustic treatments to absorb the sound waves from live vocals because SHOCKER it's a football game, not a concert
