it's not that she's an artist or anything, she doesn't have any high artistic goals that she must fulfill before her life ends, she's just a money making machine.

Rihannas a cash cow for sure but shes more cutting than Katy Perry/Nicki Minaj/Britney Spears and all of the other cash cows you can compare her to. She has a point of view, shes trying things out in her sound that Katy and Nicki wouldn't, and she has a sense of personal style both aesthetically and in life, I think that sets her apart from the rest of the pop barbies. If you're into commercial pop chicks and you line em all up in a row, theres ones that are cool and clearly have some balls, and others that clearly dont. Katy and Nicki dont have a point of view. Rihanna at least brings something to the table.

I disagree on Nicki's part. 

I didn't have much faith in Nicki Minaj until The Pinkprint was released, and let me tell you that that album shits all over Rihanna's ANTI, which was supposed to show her artistic growth. Nicki made some really good songs on that album, and that's what Rihanna failed to achieve with her latest release. 

of course, again, it's all just my personal opinion, but I don't find Rihanna "cutting" that much at all. she has this bad bitch attitude that every second girl in the world, so that's not something unique. same goes for her style and her life in general.

same for nicki though? nicki is all bark and no bite. the pinkprint is her half-hearted attempt at coming off hard again after her cringeworthy first 2 albums when shes anything but. theres no soul in her records but shes heralded as this beacon of female strength/empowerment/and social change. thats my issue with nicki. shes put on a pedestal when shes arguably the most shallow pop star on the scene next to britney spears and katy perry. the thing about rihanna is that profundity and importance aren't what she claims to be, shes a muse and consumer herself. nicki is overrated by the general population because they're dumb and have no means of comparison. i mean oh **** she slowed down the tempo??? and shes actually rapping on a track?? damn must be her best record then!
