RockySayTalk 504
I remember when BTW came out I didn't expect it to be so campy 80s which I love now but at the time after the radio premiere I had Express Yourself stuck in my head all day and I guess yeah I was most surprised by that hahha otherwise the Oscars performance. So mind blowingly amazing
Killa 17,461
It must have been Judas. A song no one except Gaga would come up with, that song you know you never heard before. Though first time i heard it was a bit.."wtf is this?" moment. Telephone also caught off guard. I hadn't heard the album, so the song was a surprise. I had no idea she Gaga and a song like that would make sense. Yes, like most of you, Aura also made me go crazy. It was everything (bit sad the instrumental isn't her creation, but oh well). Deviant 85
i was surprised when i saw that live clip of her rehearsing swine for the itunes thing. it sounded like gaga does death from above 1979 and I was so ****ing ready for it. but once i heard the entire thing and then when i heard the album version i was greatly disappointed. mee 381
Bad Romance surprised me a lot, that melody sounds like from heaven and the atmosphere sounds dangerous like fire from hell - a rendezvous between these worlds, heaven and hell, with all the inner conflicts. Epic pop drama <3 and i love her powerful dark low voice on it <3 - wish there would be an version without electronic effects on her voice -

mee 381
Do What U Want surprised me also a lot, it's a very easygoing and cool production, very clear and sharp in sound and i never expected to hear synth-r'n'b from Gaga and then so natural and good. It should be the first single, the people would have been surprised. But the whole context and the collaborators destroys it for me and i think also for many others /: Waste for such a cool tune. Bad for DJ White Shadows simple but catchy DWUW production.
Klou 2,414
Applause because I never thought Gaga would ever release a song so basic. It grew on me and I love it now, though.
