It's a quote she said at a Born This Way Ball show while delivering an emotional speech. I'm paraphrasing because I can't remember where to find the video:

"Put your hands up. Palms wide - no paws. Paws don't always receive love because all kinds of fingers can get in the way."

It might seem silly at first, but I thought it was really beautiful. Sometimes I think that the whole "fanbase" idea can become a bit obtrusive because some fans take it too far and become hostile towards anyone who doesn't identify himself/herself as a "little monster". At that point in time I think she realized this and just wanted to remind everyone that we're all people, first and foremost, and not just fans or followers.

That is really beautiful. One aspect of Gaga that i love is how self aware she is. I mean, sometimes her perspective is off, but she is surprisingly level headed considering who she is and all the success she has had.
