I think there are two reasons why Gaga says nothing now about the new album

1) She wants the fans to be surprised. We knew too much, we heard too much before the release of ARTPOP (and Born This Way too)

2) Do you think it's because artists steal her ideas too? I mean... she always had good ideas, but if she hasn't the occasion, or if she can't do that, others artists do it before and then...

I agree with those, and I think there may be a third reason:

3) She wants to avoid broken promises. For example, telling fans release dates that aren't set in stone, track names that won't end up on the album (tea from ARTPOP, etc),  and ideas that never come to fruition (ARTPOP app), etc.

Anyone can steal her ideas after an album is released though in many ways. ARTPOP was also a case of hearing most of it way before it was released. This time I think we'd ALL (her included) rather have everybody hear it all at once, or close to all at once, as more of an album listening experience. I think she was just excited to perform new songs for iTunes Festival bc she was able to perform shows at that point
