If he says ARTPOP was a bit of a bad album, he was right. Now sit back, wait for the next stuff, and enjoy. I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time. It is a massive insult imo nobody has even heard of carol king. this is just some cant live without you song as if that hadn't already been made over and over again and we have seen where that sort of music got us. some of these tracks i have actually heard but it is not particularly outstanding there were better stuff in the 70s and worse aswell but if the 70s were so great then we wouldn't be in 2016 with one of our best artists being pursuaded by a senior citizen to reproduce someone elses work from the aftermath of 2 of the biggest wars and disasters in history. do you think just maybe the younger generations might be better placed to have a rational idea of how terrible the 70s were and what is good music? Maybe Gaga should be left alone about her ARTPOP instead of going on the radio and saying your "friends" work was bad and you know better coz you sucked up to old liz. this is turning into a rant really mr john went on the radio and said ARTPOP was a bad carreer move and he is supposed to be friends with gaga and he said tapestry is what she should make. you really couldn't make this **** up. Ya'll act like she's put out a hundred albums, the woman has released 4 plus Cheek to Cheek. ARTPOP failed critically, commercially, and the only people in the world that listen to it are die-hard fans. The album was an all around failure. It's not Gaga's fault. It's not our fault. It just didn't work out. For the life of me it makes me want to vomit all over my keyboard when I see the delusional "OMG ARTPOP SLAYS" messages on here... like get with it already. I hope she does finally come out and say that she hates the album. There's too much baggage there for her... I personally know if she could have, she would have quit the album when everyone in the fanbase ripped her over picking DWUW over Venus as the second single. People have no clue how that devastated her. I personally swear to it. If I were Gaga, I would hate ARTPOP too. Except the album did not really fell both commercially or critically. At least not for the most part. Applause was very successful as its first single, DWUW also did very well despite of bad promo, and the album itself has sold about 2.5 million albums. Critically, it has a 61 in metacritic, which indicates mixed but mostly favorable reviews. If the album had failed it would not have sold as much or it would be under the 40s in metacritic. Average/regular songs such as ARTPOP, Fashion!, Sexxx Dreams and G.U.Y. Spoiler And messy songs like Aura, MANiCURE, Swine, Donatella, Mary Jane Holland, Dope, Venus. Spoiler Worst song =Jewels & Drugs. Spoiler I think Dope needed more time to become a really good song, because the production it's not HQ. It's true honesty it's not her best album, but we have to give her a lot of credit for working on this album in a very dark time in her life.... B.B.A. / Music Lover / Human. Then how do you base your opinion that most people in the world disliked it? Did you ask everyone? I mean, I feel like most negative reputation came from under performance and bad promo decisions from Gaga. The album itself wasn't all that badly received.
