I have created a petition for fans to sign in regards to the hopeful release of Lady Gaga's entire discography in Hi-Res Audio. When we reach one thousand signatures, this petition will be sent to Bobby Campbell. The hope is that when he see's how desired the music in Hi-Res is, he will prompt Interscope to release it in 24bit H-Res (FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, WAVE, DSD). 

Basically right now what we have is compressed audio that doesn't sound anywhere near as good as it should. A lot of people clamor over Born This Way and ARTPOP being "overproduced" but I don't feel like that's the case at all. As some of you know, when an album is sent from the studio for distribution, it's compressed and stored in smaller files for convenience. When this happens, unfortunately, a lot of the music data is lossed or compromised, resulting in the music not sounding the way it did when it was made. To compensate for the lost audio, the "loudness" of the track is increased to cover up the missing data and to make it sound more full which is where the "over produced" sound comes from. Luckily, over the years there have been new music sites created that offer the original audio straight from the studio. This lets you hear the music unaltered and uncompressed. You hear the dynamic range and the song or album the way it was meant to be heard. An example of one of those sites is HDtracks.com

Some will argue that you can't hear a difference between CD Quality and Hi-Res and say that in blind tests that the average person couldn't hear the difference between 16bit(CD Quality) and 24bit (Studio Quality) but there are many that also say they can hear a difference. Personally I hear a difference. It sounds more natural and less strained. You can turn up the volume in your car louder and it doesn't get distorted.

I'd be happy if you didn't tell people not to waste their time on something I worked really hard on.. I didn't type those paragraphs for my health :deadbanana:
