E24187 614
I never watched the show prior to Gaga, but I will say that Hotel has piqued my interest. I think I might continue watching the series with or without her. One question from topic where everyone ranked the seasons....what's the deal with Freakshow? It seems almost to be a board consensus that it was the worst season.
monketsharona 52,814
I like Freak Show and I also know people who like it... So I guess its all about taste
Pacify Him 9,073
Watch Freakshow, then Hotel, then Coven, Murder House, and lastly, Asylum I s2g this is best advice you'll ever hear. This is the ranking of how dark the show is from least to greatest. I’m getting on your nerves
Red 94,546
I like Freak Show, I dislike Coven. For me, a bad thing about FS is that the first episodes aren't too good but then it gets better and better. If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. Dark Anatomy 2,284
Freakshow was just bland. It didn't go anywhere. It also had one of the worst endings. Asylum > Murder House > Hotel > Coven > Freakshow That's how you should watch.
Kermit 15,807
Murder House was the most exciting Asylum was the scariest Coven was the weirdest Freak Show was the most boring Hotel had a lot of pointless subplots Area 51 will be the most expanding and hopefully it will tie with the ending of Asylum, FS had no right to tie itself to God. “For me, insanity is super sanity. Quartz 11,923
Freak show had no pressing matter to solve or a question to answer whereas the other seasons do. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
Didymus 34,379
Just now, hellothing said: Freak show had no pressing matter to solve or a question to answer whereas the other seasons do. Sounds like Hotel to me tbh. Anyway, Freakshow is the show's most critically acclaimed season so there's no broad consensus at all.

Freakshow was scary for the first half. I’m getting on your nerves
alejandreaux 1,053
Imo, Asylum>Murder House>Coven>Freak Show=Hotel If you liked Hotel then you will definitely be blown away by Asylum, you should try it out
Prismatic 4,789
Asylum > Freak Show > Muder House = Coven > Hotel Asylum is perfect. Dark, scary, strong premier and finale. Freak Show is honestly great if you delete the meaningless episode with Niell Patrick. Pretty scary and shocking moments and got me worried about who's going to die throughout the show, lol. The last 2 episode were amazing. The killing, the bitter sweet ending. I love it. I Only Stan For Risk Takers
Batwings 12,846
Here's the truth about AHS: Nearly every single person you ask is going to have a different opinion on it. For example, I thought the pacing of Murder House was dreadful, but it's a lot of people's favorite season. As for me, Coven is my favorite season, but others have called it garbage. The general consensus about Freak Show is that in regards to the storyline and overall quality, it doesn't stand up to the other seasons, but some people love it. It's really all just a matter of taste. EDIT: I think another reason people were disappointed in Freak Show is because the teasers made it seem like it would be the darkest, scariest, most gruesome season yet, and... it wasn't. By a long shot.

Mast 980
Asylum Murder House/Coven (Coven was the most unique tbh) Hotel Freakshow Hotel and Freakshow both suffered from the same flaw. Too many pointless subplots and not enough time to develop them. It was like a new story line popped on your face in every episode. Kinda like how Liz and Tristan suddenly became a thing off-screen, and it was just very poor writing.

I agree but then you can say the same thing about Murder House, seriously by episode 10 there was so many dead people on that basement it was hard to follow.
