We all know award shows are not always the most accurate in choosing the nominations however making accusations that they're racist is just dramatic.  Plenty of minorities have been nominated and won at the Oscars over the years.  It seems trendy to 'White bash' and it's fashionable to call people 'racists'  for simply not agreeing.

32 African Americans have won at the Oscars in its entire history. That includes most of the categories (actor, supporting, editing, soundtrack, directors, etc.).

Theres only been one female director who has won.

And there has only been one African American female to win the role of best actress.

Do I think the academy voters are all racists? No. There might be one or two that are (cause there are still those people who exist!!!!!).

But I think the problem is that black movies are not taken as seriously as white movies. And sure, some years there may be less minorities than others... But overall it should be equal opportunity.
