Is it safe for foreigners to travel to Germany ?

I'm looking to come there for language study in June/July :ohno:

I'm asking this because of the rise of xenophobia and racism.

Yes absolutely, especially if you live in one the bigger cities (Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Berlin etc.) you as an individual won't have any problems.

This isn't like suddenly everyone is against foreigners :wtf:

I live near Frankfurt and you see all types of cultures flying around here, especially in Offenbach (directly next to Frankfurt) where a large percentage of citizens are/were migrants or foreigners.

Dangerous Man

Disgusting. I wish i could move now to one of those earth-like planets that are millions of miles away from here.

EDIT: Now they are saying the majority of the abusers has been refugees. :(:(:(

F*ck, I'm so done with everything - rightwings are already cheering with their racist bullsh*t

Hey this seems to be organized

Around 1000 Iraqis gathered at Helsinki railwaystation from all over Finland and police arrested some of them.

I would not call these people refugees, but instead asylum seekers. They don't deserve a refugee status if their only purpose was to commit crimes in West. They should be deported also because they're harming other refugee families who have nothing to do with it.

@Andy McQueen

update

"at least 22 asylum seekers have been identified from among 32 suspects in connection with robberies and assaults. They were believed to be among a group of up to 1,000 people in front of Cologne's main railway station on New Year's Eve.

However, none of the 32 is currently suspected of committing sexual assaults of the kind that have prompted outrage in Germany over the past week.

Interior Ministry spokesman Tobias Plate said the suspects were nine Algerians, eight Moroccans, five Iranians, four Syrians, two Germans and one person each from Iraq, Serbia and the United States."

Germany should rightfully so deport those ****ers.Theres no excuse for that kind of behavior.Maybe not all,but many Islamic men have disgusting attitudes towards women. You sexually abuse someone and you get sent right the **** back to where you belong.

And this is exactly why I was against accepting refugees.. nothing wrong with people who come from these areas but the middle east is a extremely different culture and most refugees are extremely poor and uneducated so problems like this will obviously happen even if its not the majority of them the refugees. This will only make us Arabs and Muslims look bad.

WTF, of course I'm upset that those women are molested. Performance artist Milo Moiré already did a protest in Cologne and many others too.

Taharrush gamea

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Taharrush gamea (Arabic: ‏تحرش جماعي‎‎ taḥarrush jamāʿī) or collective sexual harassment is a type of sexual harassment in crowds.[1] Reports by the North Rhine-Westphalia interior ministry and the German Federal Criminal Police Office attributed the New Year's Eve sexual assaults in Germany to the practice.[2][1] Taharrush gamea is noted in Egypt as a kind of "'lighter' sexual abuse or gang rape" and occurred during the Egyptian Revolution of 2011 in the unrest at Tahrir Square,[3] where Egyptian women and in some cases foreign journalists were surrounded by groups of young men, often having been touched with sexual intent and partly undressed, stripped naked and gang raped.[4][5][6][7][8]

the screams are horrifying

if this is really whats going on then i dont even know if i'd deport them i mean why? so they can assault women in a different part of the world? throw em in a cage or deport them to allah :neyde:  how the **** do you fix people like that?

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.
