MannyMonster98 31
Hey yall:) So Lady Gaga just released three of her STUNNING new covers for the V99 issue and I am beyond slayed at the momentBut I can't help but think...will LG5 be a darker era? I wonder this because the new V99 Gaga cover is obviously very dark and powerful and has already been compared to the BTW/TFM days and USUALLY every new V Magazine cover that Gaga is featured on is used to open/represent a new era (literally look it up it's true). So does this new darker cover mean a new darker era? Plus Gaga stated that her role in AHS Hotel will "influence" her new music and cmon yall...AHS Hotel isn't exactly the lightest of TV Shows on television at the moment. But, at the same time, her new music seems to be very funk and dance influenced so how will that all fit into the whole darkness vibe? I honestly don't know...but what do yall think? I personally would love a dark era!? Do you think that the LG5 era will be leaning towards the darker side of Gaga? Why or why not? Leave your comments below little monsters and don't be shy;)

Does that make sense? So I think even if she does make some disco influenced music (which I still doubt is disco) the imagery will be dark.
Leo 3,000
I feel like this "dark era" is some elusive thing that we won't ever fully see or have ever really seen. Yes, every era that she has done has had some element of darkness in it, some more than others, but I don't really get the obsession with a "dark album". Yeah, I think her music will move in a direction less fun than ARTPOP, but I don't think we'll ever see an era that is wholly dark and edgy. There will always be "poppy" moments, aspects of her music and videos that are more upbeat and fun.

Peroxide 9,202
She's going back to her old roots and expressing the thing she loves most Satan...I mean disco music.
Chump 1,093
I don't think so, I think it will be IWYLish
LoveandMagic 1,731
The music itself may not be "dark" but the themes found in the album and singles, as well as the aesthetics of her performances may be. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
Gagadonna 10,801
I want a dark album but with serious topics: nature, war, religion, etc, not an album about decay, acceptance or art. I want Gaga to denounce current issues in her songs.
Glamourpuss 29,062
I think she will do a album that is like the dark theme of TFM but a cross between Speechless and Amy Winehouse's Back to Black.
Bellatrix 34,790
Yes please! DarkGa is the best Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?
Glory 2,247
Many reasons it will be a dark era (bookmark me ) 1) She's coming from AHS, the most horrific TV show 2) She's at her best doing dark stuff and she knows it : Bad Romance, BTW album 3) Now that she's happy she can be as dark in her music as she wants, it won't affect her as before 4) Come on, do you see Gaga in a cheesy thing? Eh Eh is far away guys

Gaga's music is rarely "dark". It's imagery.
Gypsy Hooker 0
She's always in her element with a dark sound/aesthetic and she always go back to in it in a way, whether that's through her musical output or other. It's who she is
