KURUSHITOVSKA 20,451
Uh, please no one of you come to a Barcelona show. They camp for a month. A MONTH. I camped for a week and I was #106 at the artRAVE. At the Rebel Heart Tour I was the first in GA floor. camped for 5 days. Even though I love camping. We drink, have lil parties, meet people that is there for the same reaseon as you are... it's a nice experience. Some people go and camp by a river, I go camping for GAGA! Of course we all make shifts, you don't need to ask haha btw you can get a good place if you're there at 8AM ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula? Blake 7,385
For my show I lined up at 5am and I got front and center barricade for artRAVE. It really depends where you live tbh.
Nicole 1,809
Depends where you live (E.g. NYC would be absolute chaos - people from all over the country camping out in comparison to some city in Iowa) and how the tickets are divided (i.e. early entry tickets) and the dynamics of the show (is barrier the best place for every tour?). For the BTWB, I got to the arena at 6:30am and was #40, I had barrier. However, at the artRave you could literally turn up half an hour before and still get a really good spot. Lining up all day was kinda pointless because of the early entry tickets, I got there around midday and got where the Venus Bridge was.
Quasi 10,863
For my artRAVE I arrived around 12:00 p.m. with doors opening around 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. I was the 25th person in line and got a pretty good spot next to the main catwalk. I'm gonna make an honest effort to show up quite early for her next tour so I can hang out and meet some fellow monsters. I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas. Guest
Try camping overnight, if it's Summer sleeping outside feels so pleasant! Get some friends, a cooler, blankets, chargers, food, a stereo & it'll all be part of the experience. Personally for Buffalo I had ARTPOP Zone but I still camped out bc it's part of the experience & with Toronto I had early admission; I arrived at the last second & got a front row spot. Benji 20,113
If it's your first concert I really don't recommend trying to be at the front, even if it is just a Gaga concert. Being at the "front" of a concert normally means sacrificing a few things that can make your experience a little shaky. 1) Regulating water intake is a pain. You're not going to be able to go to the toilet for a long amount of time, you'll have to befriend people in the queue and hope that security there are friendly enough to allow you to re-enter the queue if you leave. Once the queue is over however, you are not going to be able to go the toilet until the show is over and you're most likely away from the arena / stadium otherwise you'll lose your spot and the queues are horrendous post show. This means you'll have to be careful with how much liquid you intake. Not too much you need the toilet but enough that you feel comfortable(ish) at the show and won't need one. 2) Space. No matter how well you get on with people in the queue, courtesy can easily go out the window once the show properly starts and you may find yourself feeling uncomfortable. I find pop shows are worse than rock shows as everyone is desperate to get closer to the front causing a crush instead of moving around, moshing etc. 3) Entrance. I've noticed a lot more shows I go to now are splitting how people enter. The most recent one I went to split the queues and people queuing for ten hours were being allowed in the same time as people who started queueing for just an hour. Every venue will be different but this does seem to be catching on. ------------ Personally. I would go seated or aim to be in the middle / back of the crowd. I save being closer to the front for rock shows or festivals where the crowd is surprisingly easier to be in.
