This really bothers me too,  rather than have a flagrant disregard for these promises she could have been upfront.  I found it to be quite disrespectful considering how long her fans had waited,  promote and supporting documents her.   A simple message on LM would have sufficed 'no vids for each song anymore guys'.   Instead we were dragged along for the ride of broken promises and misinformation.

I still can't get over the fact she allowed a countdown to get to one hour left after two or three time pushes and said "Don't get your hopes up :-)" right before NOTHING HAPPENED :air: If Born This Way didn't laminate my stan card, it would have been torn in half at that moment. :rip:

Seriously,  I feel your pain.   I just find it frustrating,  I understand Gaga has a lot to do but when you've got fans,  who you say you would die for,  begging for answers and hanging on to your every word it doesn't take a lot to put us out of our misery with a quick tweet or something.  Same goes for those competitions on LM about directing a gaga video etc.

... And before anyone says Gaga doesn't owe us anything,  she owes us everything and said this herself.  We promote,  buy,  replay Applause on a loop when asked,  request on radios etc.   I don't expect her to be able to follow through on all promises but  a little heads up when your fanbase is going crazy would be lovely :crossed:

I love the album and the era produced some fantastic performances. It's such a shame that the management issues sent the era to an early grave, but these things happen. I'm so glad that Gaga has changed her mindset and realises ARTPOP was just a blip in her career.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

"I know this is going to sound like I'm trying to stir up media, but I have huge respect for Lady Gaga and I wanna tell you why. She released a record that didn't get the love she was probably hoping for, which happens to REAL artists. And she's stood by it. I respect artists who release music they believe in and with a slow steady pulse while doing it, live or die. So yah. fin. Carry on Gaga. I can dig it. Everyone else should, too."

No, it wasn't.

On the other hand, there was a variety of negatives that contributed by dislike. The era was a complete mess, we have established that already, but to me, the music was not her best. Do not get me wrong, ARTPOP had some great songs e.g. DWUW, Aura; however, I just did not feel it compared to her other albums.

It came off so try hard - like she was trying to make people believe in her art. It is my least favourite album of hers.

It was definitely a messy era and I'm also convinced this is why the GP didn't care for her.   The entire message behind ARTPOP was never really conveyed properly and even Gagz would pick and choose when to apply 'music not the bling'.

I found it so disrespectful to us, as a fanbase, to buy multiple copies of Applause and stream it on loop just to try and influence its chart position.

I felt really disappointed. "We do not owe her anything", bullshit. :toofunny:

Not at all. The logic is solid. see some of the posts don't have any justification or reasoning that explains why the poster is so hostile. This hostility is therefore obviously due to something other than what they wish to explain and based on my assessment of the work it would appear that gaga worked hard with good intentions so I am challenging those people on whether they have worked hard with good intentions. This doesn't mean that I can't challenge albums where I believe that the intentions are not good when I can explain my reasoning and justify my position and am someone who has  worked hard with good intentions.

The logic isn't solid. If people can't afford opinions for their dislike of other artists/albums/songs etc then neither can you since artists will always be more successful than you.

I do not intend to be successful my intention is to be that which I am. My art is perfectly good and more genuine  than your successive failures. Your comment doesn't even make any sense.

No, it wasn't. But I, personally, do not accept songs like Swine, Donatela, J&D and Fashion on a 4th album, she is WAY better than that.

Sorry, don't hate me.

The bones of it were good and if executed properly, it would've been great. I think she just chose the wrong producers, management, stylist, directors, photographers, etc.
