She has so many varied looks, that I could compare them all day without making my point any clearer. It's all a matter of taste, anyway.

Generally speaking, I prefer darker visuals - I loved her looks through The Fame Monster and particularly Born This Way, where she infused darkness with religion and a metal edge. I felt like, even when she was beautiful, she had an instantly recognisable 'Gaga' beneath it all; she'd have the facial protrusions, or she'd have a statement hat or just something fun and quirky.

When she dressed more classically for ARTPOP, it was just that. She felt to me like she had all of her identity scrubbed from her, a little sterile by comparison. Just traditional beautiful; which is fine, but I've never been a Gaga fan for her beauty! I'm a fan for how she challenges people and expresses a weirder side that other popstars are afraid of.

Hmm well it ssounds like you have seen a lot more outfits than me. Not really follow that much but one of my fave visuals of gaga is how she looks in you and I when she is smiling with the white dress and more minimal makeup. She looks really beautiful in that video. As for plastic gaga I wouldn't go in the same room as those type of girls or atleast I try too keep away from them and look for the more 'traditional', 'sterile' and elusive earth mothers.  I was in a bar on new years and there was just not really any women that were in the slightest bit interesting course it was a terrible spot I felt really uncomfortable there  but then perhaps different has become all the same motor car models in various brands like metal is a porsche and rock a ferrari and pop a ford but whatever they are still sitting on a car bonnet hoping you will take them for a ride. I ended up with the cutest guy although I am not gay he was really beautiful just sad he was on his own a bit like me really but still better no women than bad ones. Even the somewhat ok ones tend to have some bad friends that will be pulling her away so really there aint no in between.

At my Walmart, they had a big banner with ARTPOP and Marshall Mathers on it from like October to December

Wow, before the release date in November?  It's amazing there is such a big difference.

I think the reason was that Eminems album came out earlier then Gagas and interscope wanted to promote both of their biggest releases on the same poster board but it was really cool. I took a selfie with it everytime I went.

Not when Self Titled was released :crossed:

Anyways, it isn't bad, just a little disappointing given what could have been of the album. Not that that's her fault, but at the end of the day it is what it is. Still a fun album to listen to occasionally, brings back good artRAVE memories :nick:

Commercially? They sold the same basically.

Musically? I love both equally tbh. Except I don't skip any songs in ARTPOP, on Bey I sometimes do. But yeah, it's too bad that ARTPOP couldn't be what Gaga wanted it to be because of Troy.

ARTPOP is a really good album (Minus Dope, Im sorry but this song is just awful). However it suffered from messy promotion, split from manager and some pretentious interviews.

What does commercial success have to do with this? And if we're talking about "commercially"...

Self Titled- 617,213 first week US

ARTPOP- 746,000 overall US

Self titled- 2.3 million Overall US

ARTPOP- 2.3 Overall WorldWide

Lets not :emma:

and anyways, Self Titled is by far the superoir album imo. ARTPOP is fun, but Self Titled is absolutely stellar

And I totally agree with your last sentence

I meant for that to describe for music quality :rip:

:emma: I meant worldwide finals. Didn't they sell like 2.3 - 2.7 million?

ARTPOP has sold around 2.5 million worldwide and self titled has sold 5 million.
