I love Kesha but honestly it wouldn't be good,  vocally she isn't on par with Gaga so I imagine it would be difficult to find the right balance.  I wouldn't mind if she helped lyrically though.

I think Ke$ha is talented as a songwriter and some of her songs are bops, but her voice isn't the best and when combined with the sheer amount of auto tune normally present in her songs it makes her sound terrible imo. So I'd be okay with a writing collab but wouldn't want her on the actual track. :laughga:

Listen to past lives and listen to her bob dylan cover.

She's legit.

I feel like they have similar experiences, as females in the industry who struggled to get creative control from their labels.

I'd be interested in a powerful song about sticking to your guns and not backing down. They are both big advocates of self-expression and want to liberate their fans to let them be themselves without feeling bad about it. Teaming up as two females mistreated by the industry who came out on top would be a good way to tell their stories and show that succeeding without selling out is possible. (That is, as soon as Kesha is freed from her contract and finds success with new music she believes in.)

It may seem random but both are major fans of Radiohead and rock music in general, so that means there's many possibilities to explore genre-wise, instead of doing a dancey electro pop song that would be expected from them. They could go for experimental alt rock or something glam rock inspired or a brash rock 'n' roll anthem. Even a stripped down power ballad. They could pull off a lot sonically. :flutter:

Either way, I'd totally be here for a duet that would showcase their talents as songwriters and vocalists. Kesha was written off as a talentless manufactured puppet in the same way Gaga was when she debuted. Only now people are beginning to realize the truth about Gaga's talent, and I wanna see the same happen for Kesha.

I love this post. I've actually grown to respect Kesha's artistry a bit more. I think a collab could work, and quite well, but it depends on the genre. I could see them bonding over their love of rock, showmanship, and industry griefs. Your choices for musical genres would work really well I feel. Everyone would expect autotune,dance-club, electro pop (which they probably could also do well together, I'm not saying otherwise), so imagine their surprise if they got a kickass, electrifying stadium anthem. I'm sure they could come up with some really cool and fun stuff. Maybe they could do a collab EP together or some other small project. It would take the pressure off them to chart, and they could just have fun with it. Ballads, anthems, rock, pop, alt, psychedelic, funk. I could see them really do well together on these type of collabs.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

OMG, totally!!  I love Ke$ha's sound and think she's very talented, as well.  From what I hear, she writes all of her songs or at least co-writes them.  I think Gaga's and Ke$ha's voice would compliment each other well if Gaga sings in the same vein as BDR, Paparazzi, Just Dance or Summerboy.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

Not usually but after recent events, I'd love for Gaga and Kesha to come together and write and record a good song about the sexism and abuse in the industry.

I'm pretty sure she's the main writer all the time but I do know she writes/has written songs with her mom and Bonnie Mckee.

I like Kesha on her own. She writes her music which is a plus and her songs are nice and really catchy. She has her own little lane and I think she knows that.

But in reality, Gaga is an artist. Plain and simple. It would be like Gaga and Paris Hilton on a track together. Absolutely not. No thanks. I don't want it. Return back to sender -->>

That's what I thought.  I read somewhere that she writes a lot of her music.  I think it would be cool if they collaborated.  What do you think?
