Bette Davis 12,742
But it's their religious right!! In the bible it clearly says you will go to hell if you bake a cake for a paying homosexual. It's against the Christian religion and you will go to hell if you treat people who are different from you with dignity, respect and as equal human beings!! WHAT ABOUT THEIR RELIGIOUS RIGHTS TO DISCRIMINATE?! Dumb bitches. Cheers to Oregon! Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.
AJH219 4,448
Honestly, and this will be an un-popular and controversial opinion, but why did this couple feel the need to make a big deal out of this? Attention heauxs much? All they had to do was go find a bakery that would grant their request. Frankly, I don't feel sorry for them. I get sick of LGBT people who get pissy at every single person who doesn't bow down to them. Guess what? Acting like brats doesn't help our image. I don't know, I'm just sick of this "you don't agree with me, then you're a piece of crap who doesn't deserve a pot to pee in" mentality that has polluted our society. Mobster 14,604
135000$ is obviously an unreasonable fine... But before you start feeling pity for these homophobes, they received more than 350000$ on a crowfunding page this year as a result of this case going viral, they are probably celebrating this whole "ordeal"....People are still rewarding bigotry and that's a far worse problem than one judge going overboard with a fine... Here's their crowfunding page, if you want to check out their pathetic excuse to ask for money... (Needless to say: Don't fund them!) https://www.continuetogive.com/4811392 But I'm only a man and I do what I can.
LoveandMagic 1,731
I wonder how these homophobes would feel if a lot of businesses refused to serve them because it's also the belief of many that divorce is a sin and people who are married more than once have committed adultery (which according to some religions is punishable by death). I wonder what Rush Limbaugh or Kim Davis would do if they were repeatedly refused service because of this particular reason? I wonder if Kim Davis' second, third (?) husband would be standing in the clerks office harassing same sex couples if someone went up to his face and called his wife a harlot and condemned them to hell? I'd also be interested to know the lives led by these Christian bakers, I bet I could find quite a few "sins." Thank god my Christian friends are compassionate people who are content with their lot in life and don't feel the need to hate to feel important. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Why should anyone accept illegal and immoral discrimination? They're not attention whores, they're upset at being treated like second class citizens. Put any other minority in the same situation and see how gross it looks. For example, would you tell a black person to stop whining and find another bakery if someone refused to serve them because they were black? No, it'd be wrong, so why is it any different for someone who is LGBT? Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.
Goosey 3,017
These cake things are ridiculous. The bakery doesn't have to bake gay messages on the cake though. If it was my bakery and I was a homophobe I'd just make them a blank cake and avoid the $100,000 lawsuit.
