Lum 329 Posted December 28, 2015 Share Posted December 28, 2015 Here's a little history lesson for the newer Monsters (and a lovely throwback for the old ones too ) The White Tie & Tiara Ball is an annual event hosted by Elton John and husband David as a fundraiser for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Lady Gaga performed at it in 2010, amidst her Monster Ball Tour. She performed a handful of tracks: DITD, Alejandro, Speechless, Poker Face, Bad Romance... This was also the first time she uncovered You and I (at the time, it was stylized as "U & I") to the world. There's significant differences in lyrics, instrumentation, and arch from the album version, and it's a great glimpse into how the song has grown since then. Notice in her introduction to the track, she states it's "a bit of a Rock n' Roll tune, which means it most likely will never get used as one of my singles." Ha. Truly a gem in terms of Gaga history. I was out in the garden and the clearing like in the video for this song it merged with my garden and it swept around me. I wasn't on any drugs either. not sure if i had anything to drink but i rarely drink that much and mostly just beer. This was around the time when i went into a real high but I am still kind of near. It was strange though the clearing and the garden I probs need to get back there it is so nice to sit there. I was looking at this xmas tree on the balcony in a bag some one else bought and it seemed like a dead body. big believer in potted christmas trees. it was weird i was really getting high and then some people came next door coz it is kind of deserted there at this time of year and their presence seemed to interfere with what was happening to me but I am still in a funny place. I've never seen anything like that so I have a question Does she usually perform her songs before the album come out? I know it happened with a lot of ARTPOP songs but Did this happen other times?
