Yes, let us keep helping these thugs who have no regard for Western values at all. Won't such people act the same all over Europe and the U.S? This **** makes me sick.

These were not refugees, but the UN staff who insulted these women.

Didn't expect this comment from you Adam. What kind of generalization.

Western values? Is it that's why there is still antisemitism among white Europeans and Americans?

Don't twist my words around. I'm talking about these men who treat women shamefully. I'm all for helping people who need help. It's a type of person I'm talking about, not Muslims or Arabs in general.

Back off with your arguments and labels, I know who I am and your misconceptions of me are very sad. Didn't expect you to misjudge me so easily. Maybe you need to relax and use your mind more before going into defensive/attack mode when anyone says anything on this site you don't like or misinterpret.

It's alright though, I forgive you. You probably get emotional or heated when it comes to topics like these, which is understandable. I still respect you, but please understand me and try to respect my opinion.

Your comment seemed pretty general

"Yes, let us keep helping these thugs who have no regard for Western values at all. Won't such people act the same all over Europe and the U.S?"

Who are these thugs you are helping?

I didn't attack you, but your comment was pretty similar to any Trump supporters' comments about news like this. The UN staff could be Greek or whoever, but you just decided that "these thugs we're helping (meaning refugees or who?)" will act the same in Europe and USA. And I'm pretty calm. Just disappointed.

Antisemitism exists among all races and groups.

It seems rather ungrateful to treat people who are helping them so shamefully. Isn't it clear we are referring to the men who engaged in this behavior?

A Trump supporter? Please...

And the guard was suppose to help defuse the situation that was already occurring as some of those in the camp were trying to kick out the American Jewish women. Instead, a guard of UN staff joined in and thus showed how unprofessional a number of the people the United Nations hires.

Why are you so ready to lump into some category and be guilty of something you're accusing me of, generalizing? If you are so calm, where is all this coming from? Perhaps, you need to rethink your communication skills and how you interpret others. It isn't very tactful to get defensive without knowing the reasons why people say what they do.

You don't have to prove anything with me. I know you're bright and passionate about events like these, but there is no need for these ridiculous tit for tat arguments. I'm willing to drop it and honestly, I don't have time.

But if having the last word is that important to you, have at it. I know you're better than that, though.

Well, funny to see Adam being accused of generalizing while the OP carries a much more dramatic (in my eyes) generalization: that the UN is "disgusting" because of one incident with people that aren't even identified :rip:

Also: the security guard was fired by the UN for the incident, so, really, this thread should not be about the UN at all, it should be about a specific antisemitic security guard partaking in antisemitic behavior in refugee camps.

Simon has a record of spitting on the UN so I understand why he read over that (though it is in the OP right above his own comment) but it's still disappointing and the fact that he himself liked a post that criticized generalizations just adds to the hilarity.

It's not a secret that the UN is highly biased.

I was gonna comment on that too, but Simon does that a lot when it comes to UN.

And it's no secret you are either. This thread is just another example.
