I think she knows what she wants and is having trouble to get Travis and her record company to agree. We all know BBHMM didn't work. Why are they pushing her in that direction. It's really sad how no one seems to believe in her. Popstars are really struggling to get support from their labels these days (we don't realise how lucky we are that Gaga hasn't had any delayed releases). I guess ever since the genre went down in popularity, it was natural that this would happen, just like how a lot of urban acts went through hard times post-2007. But someone like Rihanna...shouldn't have this problem. Especially at her young age. This kind of difficulty releasing an album is usually something reserved for female artists in their mid-late 30's who have limited hits and have fallen from relevancy, not a 27 year old with a lot of hits and who was always considered cool. She just needs to release it. She's got nothing left to lose. It can't get any worse than it has already. But if Higher isn't on it, I'll want to throw a fit. I doubt she can break ties with Jay once this mess is over (unless she wants to be embroiled in a Kesha/Rita Ora situation of trying to break from a contract that isn't up yet. She's just signed up to this new deal - breaking free of it is going to be otherworldly messy. I knew Rihanna was going to be fade considerably after Unapologetic but even I never predicted this. I don't know how she can go from her old schedule to this disaster. I thought a bit of a knock could help her get to be a better artist, but...this is too much.
