Azor Ahai 18,861
It's the most basic lgbt bill and still huge controversy was created. http://www.thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/breaking_greek_parliament_passes_same_sex_civil_unions_bill_by_wide_majority "Greek Orthodox Bishop Ambrosios of Kalavryta called "on the church faithful to denounce those he described as 'freaks of nature.'" “Whenever and wherever you meet them, spit on them,” Bishop Ambrosios wrote online. “Condemn them. Blacken them. They are not human! They are freaks of nature!” The bill does not include adoption rights and does not make civil unions equal to the rights of marriage that different-sex couples enjoy. " Still a long way to go for my country's LGBTQ community

TiphEret 1,320
Well a small step but I thin progress is on its way. I have met some Greeks while living abroad and I can only say positive things about them, they are our generation so roughly between 20 and 30's and none were judgemental towards gays. Of course that's only my experience and can't speak for the entire country but I think it will change again in a few years but it takes time and honestly they are not an exception just look at France we think so highly of how civilized we are and educated but when you hear what people think about LGBT it's scary they have such limited knowledge on the topic and backwards view. The issue is ignorance and I think with people being out more and more it won't continue Sur le sable sur la neige, Sur les images dorées,Sur le front de mes amis, J’écris ton nom
