It doesn't even feel like a debut album to me. It's like she's been doing it for years when you listen to it. So confident and pitch perfectly executed. That's really special for a debut album.

I always felt that way when I listen to the fame. It's like the album is too perfect to be a debut album. It's like she was already an expert with her lyrics, melodies and visuals. Even during her 2008 interviews she talked like shes been around for like 10 years but I think thats what makes the album so special and unique.

No

TF without TFM....? no

The Fame is much better than the fame monster in my opinion. Telephone just ruins the cohesive theme of the fame monster.

No. For me it will always be Ace of Base The Sign, which was named best-selling debut album of all time!!! ;)Being a teen of the 90's I have fond memories of that time and to this day I still am. Just bought the re-mastered version and it's pure pop perfection!

The Fame will always be on my top list though!

The Fame era in total

Completely agreed. It always makes me sad to see the era criticized on the forum. And it's also irrational since most of the things she did post-TF she already did in one form or another during that era :flop: And of course I've already seen you successfully clock the people who accused her of being robotic and "inhibited" artistically recently :gaycat:

More to enjoy for us, I guess. And the rest of the world, since I'm sure TF will be her most iconic and remembered album/era.

I had to google what cry baby was and ive never heard of this melanie martinez girl :awkney: can she make great music videos like paparazzi and poker face? :awkney: can she write songs like them? :awkney:

yes she can

the first half of the Double Feature video is both her Poker Face and her Paparazzi and then Dollhouse / Sippy Cup put together (its a two part video) is her very twisted Edge of Glory tea

musically, Melanie doesn't talk about sex in a good light, so lets just say instead of Poker Face, she has a Telephone and that's Tag You're It, while her Paparazzi is Dollhouse

Yeah I will never understand why some bitter fans call her a robot during that era when she was her most honest and real. I never questioned anything she said during that era whereas now I am skeptical with some things she said especially with how rehearsed and nervous she looks during interviews. I think some fans are probably a bit jealous they didn't get to witness such a perfect era with amazing performances, music videos and overall visuals. I hope Gaga actually keeps her word this time around and releases a rock album because if not then that confirms she just talks out of her ass now. The Fame was fresh and I hope the next album is fresh too in terms of production and lyrics. It would be nice if she's been practicing playing the guitar because even if she's not a pro yet, it'll be great to see the effort and rawness of her determination towards learning the guitar for the next album. One of my favorite artists PJ Harvey learned how to play the piano during her album White Chalk and I enjoyed the effort she put to learn the piano even though it was imperfect but I think that's what makes the record beautiful. I think Gaga could pull it off if she wants to.
