lego 44,165 Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A store clerk who was shot in the face told co-workers the robber called him a "terrorist" before the shooting, presumably because he is of Indian descent, the store owner's family said. The clerk was shot in the cheek just before midnight Saturday, Dec. 12. He was released from the hospital Sunday. Gurleen Kaur, whose father owns Bottlenecks Food and Drink Shop, at 2355 Fuller Ave. NE, said the robber demanded money from the store worker then led him to a back room where he put the barrel of a long gun into the worker's mouth. The victim, 34, whose name was not released, told Kaur the robber called him a "terrorist" and said he used to kill people like him in Iraq. Grand Rapids police confirmed the statements. The robber suggested the victim was part of the terror group, Islamic State, Kaur said. She said that the worker, fearing he would be killed, decided to go down fighting and grabbed the rifle. Yeah from the name, seems like hindu. There were a lot hate crimes after 9/11 and now recently against hindus and sikhs too because bigots cannot tell a difference. Not that it would be right anyway. IKR, India geographically isn't located in the M.E, it isn't considered an 'Islamic country' since the majority aren't even Muslims, and they're not Arabs as well. So I don't see why they always get dragged into these discussions when they had nothing to do with it, is it just because they're brown?
