Her best era tbh. I'm so bitter that she just dismissed it this year as something she patched up so she didn't have to feel depressed. Like bitch no, it was more interesting and artistic than 90% of what you're doing now :rip:

It all got downhill when she became obsessed with her fans tbh :stalkga:

My fav FameGa moment:

She was more than human in these days.

The dress though. :rip: Looks like a cheap halloween costume. And for some reason the audio for her American Idol performances are kinda bad (including the Alejandro one).

But everything else was on point. The acoustic part, her including a violin into the performance, and the insane look she gives to the camera at 3:24 before exploding it's marvelous (marvelous). :flutter:

Awesome that people miss this part of her career... but I do not. It was so obviously put-upon and, frankly, inhibiting. I really fell in love with Gaga when she start to go more wild in the Monster era and forward. She is a spectacular and exuberant performer in her own right, the leotards and sunglasses were eye-catching, fine, but didn't service her in any other respect.

It made her famous.

It's why people praised her.. and it's why the public abandoned her when she stopped trying to engage the world. I'd say it did service to herself and the whole music industry just fine. She was a living commentary, a bigger than life public figure who extended the idea of performance far beyond any bounds other pop artists (even Madonna) had clung to. That's impressive. Far more impressive than saying she's just like everyone else. Talk about inhibiting..

Exactly. She was like a robot during that time, even her voice :rip:

Artistic yes, but her voice, persona and talent started to shine better after Alejandro. It was like, a really good reinvention. Totally unexpected too, because she went from this robotic crazy bitch to a completely humble, down to earth but still crazy girl. That's the Gaga I love the most.

And to the OP.. Nostalgia's for geeks I guess. I became interested in her during her The Fame days, but I find her the most intriguing during Born This Way, and basically it was that era that made me a fan. It wasn't really the theme of the album, but how she expressed it and herself during those days. The creativity peak of her career imo.

She tried to be FameGa during ARTPOP but failed misserably

The make up was messy , bad wigs and her lips were puffier so it didnt look right.

Oh and the most important thing, her fierceness and her passion werent there.

Just look at the 2008- early 2009 fameball and TV performances ! She was on fire

Then in late 2009 she started to use a live band on TFB and started to act "monster-ish" and it went downhill.

Damn! Diddy serving some delicious Tea right here :applause:

FameGa changed the game, and it helped TFM to be the slayage it was,

TFM helped BTW too

Then the BTW era ****ed ARTPOP's future tbh ._.

The fake accents started after The Fame, so.. And those were far more embarrassing.

And I always thought she was humble and down to earth, actually. I think people have a really skewed vision of what The Fame era felt like. FameGa would NEVER have said that the music industry should stop hiring people who don't write their own songs. She usually refused to talk about other artists or celebrities because she didn't consider it her business. Her personality in 2008 is a big reason why people cared about her: she was a passionate, talented woman who had something to say beyond her gimmicks. The idea that she was just being a robot and never saying anything substantial is a major fabrication.

blame MTN:stalkga:

OT: the FameGa was what everyone identifies as Lady Gaga so it'll always be missed:flutter: I wonder if she could regain her FameGa 'invisibility' back, after all these missteps:giveup:

Except, she did act like a robot. It was obvious from her voice and clothing. But I think she did this on purpose to add a mysterious edge to her character.

I dont think so

She shitted on all her past work during interviews the last two years, she even said she was sad, that it wass all fake and she hated her voice on those albums

And she hates the industry now..

WTH? ._.
